I guess the forum tries to be facebook, which also doesn't let you delete notifications.

It sounds like he already has the armor
I misread. My bad.

I'd stay away from it. You can get better armour for less.

If you want a metal E-11, your best shot at it (no pun intended) is to buy a deactivated Sterling submachine gun outfitted with the correct add-on parts (counter, scope, T-tracks, etc.). Once in a blue moon someone puts one up for sale here. You can also haunt various firearms collector communities, purchase one yourself, and do the conversion. The downside is that it's very expensive, extremely heavy, and you will likely be prohibited from bringing it to many (if not most) troops since it is a formerly operational firearm.
So metal E-11s ... great for display, not so much for trooping.
I troop with mine, but it's in aluminium instead of steel, and not a deac.

I really love this forum, so I have to ask a quick question regarding the notifications:
Before the big upgrade, I used the notifications to keep track of all things and deleted them after use.
Since the upgrade, notifications become more and more each day, what makes it harder to keep an overview.
Would it be possible to make them deletable again? Can't see a reason for having them archived, beside of increased loading time and data capacity.
I'm pretty sure that if you dig around in the settings you see what you want notifications for and turn off the rest.

A few years back there was a German father & son making them, but they haven't for many years now. Haven't seen any since that weren't made from deac's or resin-on metal tube.
-
You can do that yourself here: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/settings/username/

Yes (assuming you build it correctly to your body, and 501st specs). But they have some rather long delays on shipping products at the moment, and aren't known to provide spare parts in case you need any either.

Depends on where you want to cut. Long and straight cuts lends itself to score-and-snap very well. For corners and bends I like the lexan scissors.

Thanks for the tip! When you sand down the heads are you trying to actually reduce the head thickness to make them lie flush more or are you just roughing them up for paint adhesion? Ill check out that link now.
Countersink the holes. Then your screws will sit more flush.

Or maybe you meant this one?

Look at some original helmets in the gallery and pick one you like to emulate.

When I built my suit I was mostly eyeballing it. Unless it's so bad that things really don't line up at all, it's probably not worth worrying about.

Not out of box. Has only half a hengstler, and t-tracks needs adjusting to start. But it could be a decent base to start with, if you insisted in having a metal blaster. If not, there are other kits that are more accurate.

I thought that that may be the case .... any tricks for taking it apart?
I can try to gently pry it apart and see if it starts to give.....
I'd use a razor or something similar and try to pry it apart. Very carefully.

RS uses CA glue to build their suits as they are pressed for time.

so where can I post so I can start posting and replying?
Clearly you are already doing both.

Then use Tapatalk. This forum was not built nor is it maintained with mobiles as its primarily means of access. It's made for real computers.

You can also trim the bottom of the shins, and front of the forearms to cut off some length.
-
I'd cancel my order and get it from another vendor instead by this point.

Any plans on a non-responsive/mobile theme option? Using FISD on a phone, not digging the stripped down version.
Either request the desktop version using your mobile browser, or use the tapatalk app.

Luke's chest had the bottom return completely removed. That armour has return.

Also another general question: would it be okay to trim the neck return edge a bit in towards the corners, so that it blends evenly into the shoulder straps? I get a bit of neck bite from these two corners. See the pic below for illustration.
Thank you to everyone who has replied thus far. It's really helpful! I'll update later with some more pics as we go.

Also, how do I attach more than just a teeny-tiny image?! This is driving me bonkers. I had to compress this one to smaller than 30kb in order to attach it to this post. What am I not seeing here?
Yes you can trim that. In fact, you should.
We don't really offer members much hosting space for images, so what you should do is upload them somewhere else, like on imgur, and then link them to your post.

Yeah I'm going to dismiss this as a "non issue".
