Thanks for the visual Jonah, hats off to you that is much more elaborate than I expected. I thought I was going to get a picture of a dude in briefs ala SW Lego Beach Trooper. Now that would be funny
-
You didn't list my TR so .
--Jonah
OK so here's a stupid question...what does the armor look like under the robe? I remember the figure reminded me of a red Vader, is that the case? Sorry about leaving the TR's out

Welcome to the Fight!

I know there are many more derivations I tried to break it down to simplest, just thought this would be an interesting poll.

Welcome to the Fight, Trooper!

Dude that's a sweet hero shot! Welcome to the Fight...though you've actually been fighting longer than I...anyways welcome

Ok so living in Italy or Europe in general fast food basically boils down to the big US franchises...McD, BK, KFC, and Pizza Hutt. Though I've only seen Pizza Hutt in Germany and man do they have some weird ideas of what Americans eat. Seriously, Franchises have European menus and there are some weird things. One case in point, McD once had a promotonal for the Big Texas Burger. It had BBQ sauce, Jalopenos, "American" cheese, bacon, and an egg, all on a big texas toast bun...needless to say I did not get one. I know In-N-Out burgers had some in Vegas Baby.

Looking good. Actually, my cheap but started looking into actually building a voice FX board because honestly, all I want right now is that silly (chrzzz) when I stop talking. So I figured if I can make it really cheap then all the better. Good luck on the rest of it.

I think in simplest terms...costuming clubs are about learning to prop and costume make, the 501st is about sharing one's passion for Star Wars and believing in causes greater than oneself (charity work). Troopers have real lives, not everyone has the time or in some cases the talent to work every part of their costume. Members in clubs help each other out. FISD is an open forum to introduce people who are interested in becoming a 501st TK to the art of costuming. The reason armor is not just openly listed is becacause unscropulous people would then show up..."Hi I'm a big fan I want to buy armor what's the most accurate" and turn around and sell it on E-bay as "Screen accurate made from orginal and 2d generation molds" for big dollars. That's like stealing from your family! and I for one don't want that kind of trash trolling on the boards.
Of course present company exclude...

Did you upload it in "my controls", there is an edit avatar and sig. remember the avatar will show if you did it correctly

Dude, I've got nothing for you, but maybe it has to do with the fact your trooper is shot here try this it's much more appropriate .
-
Welcome to the Fight...nice to see you out of the armory
-
Welcome aboard...recommend you play with your FX, there is alot you can do to it to make it better and more palatable to our more experienced troopers...unfortunately the bucket size, well...Welcome to the Fight

That is a great looking pack...I will eventually make one that look more screen accurate when I move back to the states. Living in Italy my ability to find things is limited. Not that they don't have the stuff somewhere, I just don't know where that somewhere is and with the exchange rate what should only cost a few dollar gets rather expensive quick. Funny enough the stuff I used came mainly from deep discounted stuff at my base exchange. Total cost so far about $10.
T,
We shall double our efforts to keep it clean

Just wanted to share my work in progress backpack...don't worry I'm not going to go roll around in the mud and go all TD. I just wanted to see if I could make one and maybe wear it here and there.

Here's a some pics from my last troop at a mall, I'll post more in my gallery.

Could someone PM me if they can help me get a resin mod kit, I'm at an APO military address so I can't do Ebay.
-
Welcome, funny enough I heard about you on the 501st Podcast...yes I admit it, I like podcasts

I actually did not trim but simply formed the bottom to more of a taper, kind of like rolling a newspaper. So the back seam is not exactly vertical but more on a slight angle. I glued the front but used super velcro on the back side. This really did the trick for avoiding the ugly storm trooper knickers syndrome.

Terrific job! Congrats on being official
-
Thanks bro. I'm taking it out on it's first troop on Saturday. One thing that it has really brought to light is how I could better align the kidney plate to the abs so the tail sits in a better spot. It also shows me that my FX suit was defintiely cast with a bigger trooper in mind.

Congrats.

Thanks to Chazz for the belt. Here's a pic. I only have a few small things to do. I had to use rivets to attach the belt to the canvas in order to deal with the hole I had drilled from it previously being a plastic belt. I plan on painting the rivets.

While that would suck...it sure does look like some type of viral marketing. Anyone know of any game that's coming out? To me the contrived attempt at spirituality in the last paragraph just seems too Hollywood. If this was for real and the person writting it was really concerned the last thing I would expect them to use is some esoteric term for God like "Great Spirit". There are no atheists in fox holes and most people play it safe by calling God "God". Anyways, when's the armor party and do I need to bring chips!
A message from the new guy.
