  1. happy birthday!
  2. No, i couldnt find any here locally.
  3. I'll take a closeup of some red under the white.
  4. Thanks everyone! Heres how i left the eyes.
  5. I used rustoleum paints. So red primer and gloss white. Ive had bad experience with paints lately and i was even scared to use the primer but it worked out okay.
  6. I went through this dilemma and i chose TM's 1.5 in the end because i wanted it to flex and originality, also just to be safe. I wanted the sharpness. But i could be wrong about sharpness. I really liked the acrylic capped but originality won the battle.
  7. my first couple didn't turn out that well. but even now i think its poorly done. no tape, just freehand.
  8. sweet! i used to live on 3rd and folsom. i moved recently. how come you don't join the 501st?
  9. just finished! i only chipped away a little. i'm sure more will come off while trooping this thing. everything was hand painted with humbrol paints.
  10. I did exactly what chris did. But i didnt cut too much.
  11. It didn't. The white paint sat to dry for 2 weeks.
  12. here is the inside of the helmet. paint chipping just by placing the S-trim.
  13. I was so tempted to do some paint runs. But it just didnt happen and i didnt want to ruin something. Armando, what part of the city? Sidenote: did you use to own a s2000? It might be a weird question.
  14. Yeah. That was what i was planning to do. I was just waiting til i finished painting the traps.
  15. Thanks guys! Its rustoleum gloss white. 2 coats. There is primer and it seems to hold the paint well. But if i use my nail to scratch it, it shows the khaki color. Yeah Armando! Im in san francisco. How about you?
  16. Tube stripes are painted with humbrol #14. Some traps and both ears are painted. Just need to paint the outer line on the rear traps and the tear traps.
  17. And there it is!! One of the best sandys ive seem.
  18. oh and you guys were right. the right side was funny looking. the rivet was pulling it on that side causing it to look pushed in.
  19. i'm unsure about painting? i want to paint monday if i have a chance. here i removed the faceplate, readjusted everything. i didn't cut anything off the ears but i moved them around. now the ears look too perfect in place. what also made me decide to move the faceplate is because in the earlier pictures, the brow had a lot of gap between the rubber and the actual faceplate. it was bugging me but now i think it looks better.
  20. Hmmm. I know what you guys mean about it sinking in. Its my first time working with this plastic so im still trying to get used to it. I'll try that later on today. Sidenote: i like how you just have a pile of stormtrooper stuff in a room steve. Haha
