I have found weathering to TD suits. Paint schemes and tut's for Clones. But what i am really looking for a how to look like I been shot or something. I am not very creative-artisticly with something like this. Idk how i would get that "jetting" out ward effect the best. if anyone knows links to one. that would great thanks

Hey FISD, Just curius, who has gotten armor from Makeroftherings on ebay (armor link is: http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Wars-Stormtrooper...ht_1027wt_1165)? Wondering if there is any future problems with the armor i should prep to no happen and stuff. I remeber there was a discussion about the supposed ATA + TE ANH helmet he includes.

no, marysville washington. Didn't know cali had one. Its a recast of TE2 i believe... stupid ebay... heres some pictures. sorry for being late bout the stuff.

Hey FISD, I uh... kind of dropped my helmet when my friend jumped on my back for a piggy back ride, and I noticed when I got home that my right ear cap was basically busted due to cracks. Any source of replacements? Thanks, Jesse I'll post some pics up after school tomorrow. I got two cracks on the lower front part of the caps that go to the side face of it if that helps for now.

So I have been running this question through my head a lot and wished there was like a table or a chart that would show people the size's and comparison of all popular armors out there. What I believe I understand is that RT and FX run on the larger side, ATA is smallish (at least the helmet), I have TE2 (I believe, ebay could be lying) and it seems to fit me ~6ft 170lbs. Anyone care to enlighten me further? If some one creates a chart, you guys can pin it and not really have to answer "will .... fit me?" as much. Just some food for thought, Thanks, Jesse

Um basicly its one (the german) versus (allied) who else is playing. There is one safe zone know as the base and the allied is trying to get there. the german job is to "guard" the base and tag the allied by flashing a flash light on the allies and calling their name. E.G. the german sees a guy running, flashes the light on him, calls his name, "TIMMY!" Now timmy is out, and if he was first to be tag, he will play the german next round. Can anyone PM me about TE helmets and where to get a good quality? MOT provided me with a .... one. I think ill just make a new one because of some serious defects in the one of have. And return edges idk how i will be able to add them on to it.

I was surprised at how "fast" I could move when I played German spot light "fashlight tag." I do need a few new parts though, the plastic part for the belt, maybe a new helmet (major cracks that need repair). I was thinking for the kidney plate to the ab plate to use elastic straps connecting them. Any ideas on that?

I need to learn how to do good decaling. I hand painted the tube strips and I found out its a little hard to do by hand. As for the brow, well it is completely messed up. Its made of three spereate rubber pieces cause I couldn't get trim that would work. I used dagobahswap, random pictures, and stuff to cut the armor.
-
Return edges, never heard that term. Can you explain?
-
yeah i also need to get a new bucket since its not really up to 501st quality up close.
-
I got them to stay on by just placing foam block in the forearms. I haven't really trimmed them to my arm length yet, but it almost seems as if they are good as they are.

I DID IT! At the loss of sleep, I completed my armor yesterday morning around 5am. Wore it Friday to school and around town, include walking by a elementry school. Feels great. here are some pics. In the morning: At spencers:

Yeah there is a fold their, there was also a fold on the other side bout the same place as well... In my photobucket you can see the damage before I sanded it down. So, has anyone have a rivet gun break on them? The I was using did.... =,(

unfortunally no, i got buckles for the chest plate to the upper back and a buckle for my cod to butt piece so its easy to go to the bathroom haha. the shoulder bells will be rivet to a strip hanging off of the shoulder strap. the thigh piece is held up by a elastic strap and velcro. I am pleased at how it is looking condsidering i am doing it as cheap and fast as i can. =D

For the white, Rust-o-luim ( i think thats what it called), plastic and white enamel spray. then details i used some old model paint (testors). But it looks bad cause I don't have a thin paintbrush for the detail.

So I been busy to get this ready for Halloween. Please excuse the non-501st cannon things like the undersuit and my "poor-man" boots. Had issues with the stuff... Lower body: Upper body and bucket:

Thanks guys. Sorry TK 4510, been busy and haven't been ckecking on this post lately. But I'll be more to glad take up your advice at anytime given. FYI, bought it from a guy name Makeroftherings on eBay. I totally agree with the refund, but I kind of already got to far before I realized that the cracks and stuff will show... Somewhere theres a article around here named like TE2 + ATA or something like that. At the time, his listing didn't say damage helmet, or show any in the preview. I started another post that shows a bit of the helmet, I think at a distance it looks good. Thanks guys for helping me out.

So I been discussing with various members about parts, tips, and what to do when build your armor. BUT I forgot to give a little back, showing my progress on my own armor set. Here it is, I would say about 50% done maybe, Just need put enamel on the armor parts and assemble. Helmet is in bad condition do to cracks and somethings I messed up, but other wise, it looks good to me. The workshop The bad side of the helmet... Pieces being painted. Tell me what you think lol

Poor Mans voice changer

Thank you, this is maybe what I was reading bout two months ago. -
So halloween is coming up, and you can find lots of goodies for a decent price. I was reading somewhere that a guy used a Halloween voice changer that he got for a while till he upgraded. I found two different voice changes, but was unable to test them. but here they are: First one: ---------- Second one; ------ There isn't a huge difference, their both around $10, same size and thats about all I can tell you. I am leaning toward the first but still is unsure. Thanks, Jesse

Well the folds on the brow are not as bad as i thought, I figure the brow trim will cover. as for the cracks, using too much epoxy kind of filled it in, but i think i will personally get a new TE helmet when the funding comes to me XP ill post new pics of the the finished product when I am done.

Jumping back to topic, so MOT is a sort-of-known supplier?
-
Thats great to hear, how long you been a member of the 501st?
-
Alright good, I was thinking I got ripped off. TK-4510, I seen your work for the TE2 helmet build and I am currently using it to build mine. You may be intersested in this armor because it damaged so much (cracks and folds) you may want to make like a thread on how to repair damages like these. My idea to repair is glue a piece of scrap plastic on the back of the crack, then follow it up by placing the bondo paste in the the crack.

He kept raising his prices, idk what they are currently since he dosn't have them listed, Lowest was 250 + S&H. i payed 334 for it,
