You can check the c3po builders forum for makers of hands / fingers.

Chrome wise, you can airbrush Alclad II for the chrome and clear coat it. You can also use silver nitrate spray, more setup costs. Lastly, you could pay to have silver nitrate coating done professional or look into vacuum metal process (most expensive but shiny).

Phasma is actually a duller chrome finish which is easier to achieve.

Watch the troopers in A New Hope. A good number of them have notches cut out of the backs of thighs and shins.

Looks just fine

What armor make is it? That would help.

My guess is the distance from front to back needs to be wider and distance side to side needs to be narrower.

If so, the armor can be reshaped by gently heating with a heat gun and squeezing the armor in the direction you want. You need to overshape it slightly as it will bounce back a bit.

Go for ATA if you're on the smaller side.

Very sorry to hear. Rest in peace Jenny.

I can post new pictures to apply for EIB and Centurion if needed, they would essentially be the same photos. I just wanted some clarity on the process.

I guess I am one of those rare cases as I got EIB with one of my first TKs. I've built multiple sets since for myself, sold the old ones etc. I had other legion costumes to keep my status "active".

My latest TK was built in 2014 but there's only a few small upgrade details needed for Centurion.

Welcome. You should register on your home garrisons forum. It would be easier for locals to help you if needed.

Thanks all. I can't find the larger size of pipe in North American sizes. I assume it's a UK or European size?

Would my TD in its current size pass Centurion? I am assuming so based on the CRL requirements, but I want to be sure.

Thanks!

Hi all, could I please get confirmation on my thermal det dimensions?
Ā
I'm building a new one to meet Centurion standards and I found lots of text info, but not a clear diagram of the latest dimensions. I can do a graphic if that's helpful for others.
Ā
Length - 7 1/2" approx. 187mm
Pipe outside diameter - 2 3/8"
End caps - 20mm
Gaps between caps and control plate - 12mm
Control plate - 122mm
TD clips - The CRL says 1" but I've read threads saying 1 1/8", could someone please confirm?

Greetings! Where are you from? Lots of Canucks here.

Nice to see you here. Hope to troop with you soon!

Try to attend one our armor parties. Best way to learn.

Yes? It would help to know what you are trying to build or make.

Mix 50/50 alcohol and water, spray them inside and out. Put on thicker socks and wear them for the day. Easy stretch method!

Is the award status tied to a per costume basis? Eg: I had EIB with a previous TK, I've built a few TKs since. Does that mean I need to apply for EIB again with the new costume before applying for Centurion?

I don't have an Anovos kit but what I would suggest is backing the hole with a thicker piece of ABS glued from being to install the new rivet. ABS paste covering the hole won't be strong enough.

Avoid it. Oversized, under padded, wrong materials.

There will be larger gaps at the limbs and you need to check if the chest will cover the ab. In general, don't trim the width cuts until you can test fit and size things up.

Use a toggle bolt anchor.

Meguiars auto polish works fine.

Ammo pouch, to dye or to spray?

On canvas pouches? Black liquid RIT dye over the green pouch.
