  2. ok, so I didn't get to start gluing yet, I decided to fit everything one last time to make sure it looks good, here is the results. (please let me know if you can see the pictures, I put them under hidden on imgur. didn't want to hear people comments there.) I had added a hard hat harness for the helmet so it sits on my head better. I didn't use foam so it doesn't get hot, though I don't know if foam would make you hot. I also have the kidney pieces.

  3. After 10 years of trooping, the Velcro on the back of my shins has started to come unstuck. Time to replace it with new Velcro. It's worked a charm.

  5. Hello fellow troopers! My name is Brett TB-48222, I hail from Norman, Oklahoma in the United States. This is my first post in forum and currently I am working on an Imperial Shock Trooper. I am currently a pathfinder with a ROTJ Biker Scout outfit and I'm finally making my way to this side of the Empire and am hopeful to getting to know all of you! I am still in the pre-approval stage, haven't submitted any photos yet as I do not have any ones of good quality, but will be making a pre-approval post here as soon as possible! Thank you for you all taking the time to read my post and again, I am looking forward to meeting you all! Pic is what I have so far, as you can see, far from finished and a work in progress.

  7. A little hard to see too much with all the tape, nothing drastic is standing out, I'm sure once you get your strapping attached it will give us a better look. Some threads on adding side shims ABS paste to fill the gap/join

  11. Pleasure to meet you both @JBar @gmrhodes13 ! I am within the south florida region, and will seek to join the Everglades Squad! I had the wonderful opportunity to acquire an ATA works TK stunt kit, and have been chipping away at it every weekend since Quick question regarding the return edges for the chest and back plate: the phenomenal centurion build thread by justjoseph 63 suggests very little return edges for the chest "arm opening" area, as well as the back plate arm opening area. What are your thoughts, gents? I've currently left a very healthy 2cm return edge on the chest plate arm opening, and have yet to begin trimming the back plate (waiting to confirm the return edge size before I tackle it ;) ) Thank you for your assistance in advance!!

  12. Generally not really but two factors are your one your size and how the armor fits on you, thinner troopers leave some return edge to fill any gap, and second your GML (garrison membership liaison) some can be stricter than others BUT I've personally not seen any issues to date.

  13. Thank you, JBar. It's been a very fun build. I followed Dark PWF's How to Join the 501st post and completed my Member Application today, and I submitted my pictures to the New England Garrison GMLs! Now I wait.

  14. so I trimmed up my left thigh by 1 inch from the top and it feels like it fits much better, I can now bend my knee to a 90 degree without pain. I'm also going to trim up my shins a little at the bottom so they fit on my boots better. looking at the thigh pieces they are really large on me. I'm going to shorten them down so they don't look so huge on me. *Edit so I have tried fitting the thighs shorter in circumference, and got the about the same size each, but the shape at the bottom doesn't look right I haven't cut anything yet but I don't know what to do here, they need to be smaller though thats for sure.
