Hey all,

Ive been secretly working on my TK for a while and I thought I'd show it off as it stands (needs work). It's a partially built FX kit to go along with my MRCE lid I got a while back. Sorry for the cell phone pics

Congrats man! I too have an FX and MRCE combo and I am almost done with it. I'll be trooping in it this Thursday night for the first time. Let us know if you have any questions as you work on it.

Likewise. I have an FX and MRCE combo too Dave. The only awkward part of the MRCE mods are filling the frown gap and the ears ( if you decide to go that far - I chickened out )

The dude I bought this from tried to fill the frown gap but I'm going to have to redo it. Not sure Im going to touch the ears (*chicken). I'm also going to paint the inside black and upgrade the padding. Updates as they come.

Don't know whether you can get it in the States but I used Milliput ( Fine White ) modelling polyester filler for the frown gap. Others suggested silicone filler but I was never happy with the result.

I am also rockin' an FX with an MRCE bucket.

I took the plunge on the ears and the brow, I just need to get a small enough file to fix the mouth.

I was chicken for a while too but once I got started and was patient and slow with my work, it isn't as bad as you would think.

 

Although I am converting to a TK Commander.
