Still need to wear a holster whilst carrying a DLT for ANH Stunt?

I recently sold my E11 as I prefer my DLT.

Do I still need to wear the holster on my belt or can I get a new one minus holes for the holster?

I know there are a few troopers on the Death Star without holsters who carry DLT's,namely one of the scanning crew on thr Falcon,so thought it best to ask here for clarification

Really depends on your GML (garrison membership liaison) for non cannon events, some garrisons are stricter than others.

 

From the CRL: 

A holster is not an optional extra in the CRL's so it should be there even when carrying a DLT-19

• Holster
• Holster is made of black leather or leather-like material.
• The holster is worn on left side of belt and is attached via two leather or leather-like material straps to the belt from behind instead of front.
• No loops cover the outside of the belt.
• The holster is affixed with only two fasteners at the bottom, one on each side.
• Fasteners may be rivets, snaps, or Chicago screws.
