larryebaum[TK] Posted September 23, 2025 Report Posted September 23, 2025 (edited) Hello everyone! Hoping my first attempt goes without too many issues and hope I can even submit to 501 with these photos! My goal is base but I’d consider higher levels if not too much extra effort is needed. I reviewed the CRL and think I could achieve this. I’m working on 3D printing and assembly of a E11 blaster but not ready for perhaps a month, and I’d read it isn’t a required component for 501 approval. gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 23, 2025 Report Posted September 23, 2025 Nice work trooper, a few adjustments could really make you stand out. Ultimately it is your GML (garrison membership liaison) that looks after base approval. Firstly your photos are very small in resolution so hard to blow up to see any details, currently height is 640 pixels preferably 1280 X 960 Ears are a little large Shoulder bells could come in more at the top Belt is on an angle and could come up a little The top of the ABS belt shall sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical ab button panels. A slight overlap is suggested, but not required. You may want to tighten the strapping between the chest and abdomen, there is a small gap Should straps sticking up on rear Small gap in between the tops of your rear calf's. Cover strips appear a little large Detonator is not central, you may also want to check the gaps between end plates and control panel Looks like your right boot may be coming out of the shin on the rear. Adding elastic to the inside of the boot and shin can hold them down when moving and stretching (or velcro) You could add some side shims to close the gap between the abdomen and kidney For Level 3, ideally there is no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Be aware that although not specifically listed in the CRL, this is a requirement for Centurion. Please also note how the tops of the ab/kidney connection are level. There doesn't appear to be much gap between your holster straps and belt A blaster is not required for base approval but needs to be present for EIB and Centurion. Some larger photos will be needed to see some other details. Quote
larryebaum[TK] Posted September 24, 2025 Author Report Posted September 24, 2025 Thank you gmrhodes. Did the link to full resolution images not work? Sadly this forum only allows total of 512k for all images posted so I’m unable (unless you’ve any tips) to post larger images directly unless I provide fewer photos, hence the link. I am posting from mobile if that matters. Can you explain differently: Adding elastic to the inside of the boot and shin can hold them down when moving and stretching (or velcro) Quote

Many use a free online image host Imgur to upload their images then copy the links over, how to here How to stop shins rotating - I prefer using elastic so it has some give when stretching the legs, snaps for the connections.
