m.pire421[TK] Posted July 27, 2025 Report Posted July 27, 2025 Has anyone successfully set up their electronics such that the background chatter sound fades while the voice mic and ICOMM is used? I've heard people say the ICOMM and chatter background (e.g., MP3) just play simultaneously, but I'd like the background chatter to lower when I'm talking. Is that possible? Thinking of getting a background chatter system for my UKswath system, but wondering what peoples' experiences are using ICOMM and a background chatter system. Many thanks. FTE! Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted July 27, 2025 Report Posted July 27, 2025 I use an mp3 player for background chatter, I use 2 wireless finger remotes with relays which can pause or play next track, I tend to use the pause mainly when I need to talk then press again after the chatter has finished, made sense to me if I was talking there would be no incoming sounds. All is run off a 3 x AA battery pack so quite small. The remotes once out of the housing are only slightly bigger than a 3025 batter, with a loop of elastic glued on they fit around the fingers and slide inside the gloves well. You can find background chatter in this thread. 1 Quote
kevin_kevin[TK] Posted July 28, 2025 Report Posted July 28, 2025 My icomm is set up so that it distorts my voice slightly, then does the static bursts when I stop talking. There's no push to talk or any kind of button, it's just automatic, so I just talk like normal and it sounds trooper-ey. Quote
