I need to know how to hook up a simple squirrel fan and a switch powered by a 9 volt battery in a helmet. I am having an armor party next weekend and have been asked several times how to hook up a fan. I know how to do it basically, but I wanna make sure that its done safely. A buddy had a battery explode - not good. Luckily he didnt have the helmet on. So, anyone a pro at this? Can you also show how to run two fans off the same switch? john danter Posted July 4, 2008 Report Share Posted July 4, 2008 hang on This is a good pic to show the difference between one powered item and two wired in series or parallel. Basically have your switch connected to the postive end. Also try to colour code your cables. Red going from the +ve to the switch, then carried on to the fan.
