Hi there good people..

I am considering buying an AP armor - however I would like to know if you can replace the AP helmet with a TE2 or TE ABS helmet and still have a good match between the bucket and armor. So the overall picture will still be great..

Some may ask why I want to replace the helmet.. I have bought the TE ABS helmet and I think it really looks great!!

Any one of you guys done this or is it 100% AP?

I love the TE2 armor - looks really great - but I am a bit uncertain on painting the armor.. afraid it will chip of..

Thanks guys..

Should match if there both ABS... Shiny white is shiny white right?

I have a TE2 bucket and GF armor and they are a pretty close match. GF and AP is practically the same thing. Look to your left.

There was a shade difference in the movies too so that's cool. Camera flash makes it look more noticable. In normal outdoor lighting its barely noticeable.

Great - thanks! You should be right! Was also what I thought, but I would rather ask before I invest in a more expensive set-up - I would hate to spend a lot and then it looks wrong!

Cheers Dave

Thanks Smitty - it looks great! I am all set!

I have a summer bonus from work coming up soon, which allows me to do some investments in white plastic - :duim:

But in the meantime I would like to see if the current set-up is good for elite!

LOL good to see I'm not the only one who freaks out about matching whites LOL

truth be told you just have to get them next to each other and see. Also, different lighting conditions make a big difference. I was at a troop at an ice rink (hockey game) and the rink lights really brought out the differences in whites between my boots and my shins (hate that).

I was happy that the T*E matched as well as it did to my existing armor but i did freak about it slightly.
