ChilledOverScout
Hello troopers, Future trooper asking: my friends and I are planning on making are trooper armor out of styrene, but the probably the biggest issue for us at the moment is the molds to shape the armor. Our current plan is to shape the pieces from Pepakura files, harden them, and then vacuform the styrene on top of the builds. Is this an approved way of shaping armor pieces, or do we need to purchase/make the molds from approved/recommend retailers/methods? Any solid answer would be beneficial! Sentry71[TK]
The Foundry - Armor and Prop Making Hi Connor! Your best bet is to head to this section of the forums to find out all you need to know. Short answer: there are not any retail molds that you can buy to form your own armor. The pepakura method that you mention should work out well for you.
