MTK build

Recommended Posts

Well Dave congrats on your MTK kit.  It is an excellent kit.  Mike's videos are an excellent tool but just remember to use them as a guide.  Not all of the measurements he uses will be the correct measurements for you.  You have to assemble the kit so it fits your body.

Otherwise do your research and make sure you know where you would like to go with this project.  Are you aiming for centurion or just base approval?  Check out the numerous MTK build threads on this forum.  They are loaded with great tips and tricks.

Good luck on your build and most importantly have fun!

Hey Dave, congrats on joining us other MTK owners. Since you are planning to use the metal brackets be sure to allow for the bolts and nuts on the return edges. Too shallow and you won't have enough of a lip to mount the brackets properly also you run more of a risk of cracking from the holes for the nut and bolts.

Keep a chin up, blade down, and the ABS dust flying. You'll get there before you know it.
