808armour
I have a slight problem. Tried to match the shins up as much as possible, and then glued using Devcon Epoxy. Glued em together, and clamped. Held the middle sections together for about 10 minutes. I then tried to fit clam shell opening together, to make sure velcro side was lined up too, and heard a ripping noise like glue seperating. I am lucky and did not have to cut to size the shin pieces, and so I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem. The shin is still glued together, but when I attatched the velcro in the back, I can see a slight gap in the front glued are of the shin. If you have had this problem. please tell me what you did to resolve this problem or............if anyone knows what the best way to remedy this problem would be.... Thanks ! Amish Trooper
you should wait for at least 24 hours before really trying to do anything . yes it states what like 5 mins but you should give it a good cure time.
808armour
Yeah...I guess now I can wait since I knew the velcro lined okay. What I didnt want was the epoxy to cure, and then find out it wasnt lined up right. I guess im trying to be a perfectionist........any other suggestions? SuperTrooper
Yep, the time listed is just the time until the liquid turns solid. With most 5 min glue/epoxy the handling time is from 15 minutes to an hour, and full cure is 7-24 hours. Read the label and be patient.
