gusc10
So the exciting and slightly terrifying process of building my armor has begun.

gusc10
Started to with forearms but fear of cutting made that come to a screaching halt after a few hours of staring at them so I moved over to the bucket. Started just being held with tape. Then Glued(e6000) the back parts and let dry overnight (going to be using zap a gap and kicker for remaining parts) Then I got screw happy
gusc10
Then we got some paint thrown on there (buy good brushes, not cheap testor ones, makes life easier) and now some more, just need to install new lens from Trooperbay that just came in, reinforce the mic tips with a bigger washer in the back and install the screen in the frown. Also have to install foam liner and Echo's fan system..
fuumantroop[TK]
Nice helmet! Ive always been partial to the ESB TKs! Only decided to go with ANH so I can convert to HWT. How did those ears treat ya btw? Im on my second helmet build, but got scared off from the ears of the first one lol
fuumantroop[TK]
Did that second screw on the right side help out enough? Dod you add the one on the left side as well?
fuumantroop[TK]
If ya have them, lets see pictures of that beloved left ear, including the bottom of the ear. Many of us building this helmet are having most of our issues there
gusc10
The ears were not fun. went a little dremel crazy on the left one and will likely use some abs paste to cover up some gap in the future. Here are some photos as requested.
fuumantroop[TK]
Thats some fine work there Gus! Thanks for reassuring us all that that left ear can sit flush at the bottom Great job!
Manzilla
Great job Gus! I will be following this closely as I will be building an AM 2.0 ESB as well. I should be starting soon
gusc10
Biceps and forearms trimmed to the best of my ability and glued. Zap a Gap is some potent stuff.
gusc10
Started on my right shin, now I just need to figure out how to attach the velcro on the inside so the outside decorative cover strip sits flat.
Manzilla
I like how you rolled in your cover strips on your shins. It looks very clean. Did you just heat it and roll it?
gusc10
Yup, just a few seconds with the heat gun and then bent it gently.
CRISTONAMO
You need to replace those ANH decals with ESB decals. WHich means changing the traps, tears, tube stripes, and painting two black rank bars on each ear.
gusc10
Will do, ordered them from Trooperbay, NE ESB.
