dldigital
Hi gang! I am getting ready to start my DoopyDoos conversion of a Hasbro E-11 blaster. I was wondering if I could get someone to post a list of the tools I'll need to accomplish this. I'd like to make a Home Depot run and get everything I need to hit the ground running when the blaster and kit arrives. Thanks!Dave
Dougal[501st]
Nice to see a fellow SWTOR fan. Multiple toons on Ebon Hawk server. Good luck with your build? I am also starting my build very soon. Order has been placed and hoping to get them on Monday. As a resin cast miniature modeler and having read a number of builds I definitely would add these items to your list of tools - Dremel tool Xacto knife kit Multiple rubberized c-clamps Drill with multiple pits Pliers Glue (multiple types) Green stuff(or any modeling filler) Wire snips I am sure more items will be added as more troopers read this post but here is a good start. Your gonna find yourself probably going to the store more then once lol. Even if you have a lot of the tools already. gazmosis[501st]
The Dremel will be very important. You will need a couple small sculpting bits to get into tight areas and a larger one for hollowing out the mag well for your new magazine

Totally awesome! Can't wait to mount it. Thanks again Steve!!!
gazmosis[501st]
You are welcome, Sir. Thank YOU! Just remember to take your time hollowing out the mag well. The walls on the real gun were only 1/8 inch thick. This will make the plastic thin if you get too close. When you have removed enough material, the mag will slide in like it was made for it. (because it was) do not force it. If it doesn;t slide in snug, you need to remove a little more. Just take your time.
Zarlon[TK]
Don't forget the paint and possibly satin clear coat if you plan to apply it once everything is weathered.
fuumantroop[TK]
What kind of mods are ya looking to do to the hasbro? That may be important in fully answering your question. All the above posts are a great starting point though! There are great recent hasbro builds to choose from as well. And DEFINITELY get a dremel if you don't own one already. Get one with adjustable speeds as you will need it on different parts of the hasbro. Also, sandpaper is a must! I used 400 grit and 220(i think). I am planning to do the standard DoopyDoos mod. Not super handy with crafty type of projects so I am not expecting great things from myself. fuumantroop[TK]
So basically, just slap on the DD kit to the hasbro? If ya read my build, and Zarlon's build, its not much more than a basic hasbro build, but I did include many pictures of the little mods I did decide to go with. Its a lot easier than you may think sir! I was a tad intimidated at first, but once I got going It just all came together
