tk1995
I am working on building an E11with a combination of sterling parts and an ABS plastic receiver. The challenge that I am facing is how best to attach the real magazine housing to the ABS receiver. Anyone have any suggestions? One option that I am working through now is leaving the housing attached to the metal grip section and mounting the receiver to that. The other challenge is making sure that I have enough room to allow the bolt to still function back and forth. Thanks for any help. gmrhodes13[Staff]
I would trim to suit, roughen both surfaces then use an epoxy 2part mix to glue together, is very strong and can take a lot of force
tk1995
Thanks for the suggestion. I think I'm going to cut a chunk out of the receiver to accommodate the real sterling housing still attached to the grip then epoxy the grip to the base of the receiver. I'll post the results.
