Old Man Grumpus[TK] Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 (edited) I didn't see a 'pinned' topic about this while searching here or in the For Sale (Ongoing) forums so please excuse me if it has been covered. By chance I came into a second Hasbro for free during my build, so I would like to convert both at the same time. I was about to order a second Doopydoos conversion when I learned about Striker TK-4416's black molded version. The prices are roughly equivalent. Is one preferred over the other for any significant reasons? Are there yet other off the shelf conversion kits besides these? I did see Striker's conversion kit mentioned in DDay's consolidated vendors thread but just wanted to confirm if Striker and Doopydoos are the only out-of-the-box Hasbro makeover kits. Many thanks, Matt Edited December 8, 2012 by Old Man Grumpus Quote
Geaux Saints[TK] Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 Some people (myself included) have had shipping and communication issues with Doopydoos. I know nothing about Striker's kit. Just a little info. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 I havent had any problems ordering with doopydoos but I know others have. I have had two of their kits, one a hasbro mod and one for a pvc pipe build. They also do a full resin kit which I have heard can be brittle so you would have to be careful with it. I have only ever seen two threads which mentioned Stikers mods, seems to be nice detailing but from memory I don't think he shipped to Aus so I never looked for follow up info. Good luck what you decide and read, read and once you think you know it all, read again lol Quote
Geaux Saints[TK] Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 Please don't misunderstand. All the E-11 Doopydoo builds I've seen turned out pretty amazing looking. They make a really good kit, but once you've been burned (myself), that feeling tends to stay with you a while. Good luck! Quote
