Black trim (a la ROTJ, but black) on some ESB suits?

Had a nice 501st troop last night and one of the TK's had black trim on the edges of his armor. Like ROTJ trim, but black. He said that some ESB suits on set had this trim. I've never heard of it or seen it. Is it true? Did some of the ESB on set suits have the black trim around the armor edges?
