DLT-19 Colour

Are there any hard and fast rules regarding the colour of the DLT-19 and stock ?

If you want to be uber-accurate, the it should be bakelite, e.g. solid brown in color. However many people use a woodgrain as it can be more pleasing to the eye.

Received my DoopyDoo DLT-19 today.. very nice. Any suggestions on what paints are best to use for the metal drybrush/handle ?
