kimballk[501st] Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 A while back a friend got me a Master Replica Sandtrooper Helmet from a Con that I have as a display piece in my Bar. My question is, is this piece anything work trying to use for a kit to troop in, or should I just leave it as a display piece? Thanks Kevin. Quote
TK-7980 Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 You can get better looking more accurate kits. Personally I would leave it on the shelf. Quote
ZeroRoom[TK] Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 Is it a CE or an LE? Check the CRL link for full info Kevin, but the basic approach is that the MRCE is fine for 501st membership and trooping but will require modding for EIB status. There are several good threads on modding an MR here on the boards. You'll see in the CRL that is not acceptable for Centurion. I personally have one for display but have no intention of trooping it - if only for the lack of decent padding/ strapping on the inside. Hope this helps! Quote
BananoPower22[TK] Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 I've read in the MEPD forums that the Sand trooper version looks good, but recreating the weathering on the pattern that's on the helmet on the armor is quite a challenge. Most end up buy the regular Stormtrooper version and weathering the armor and the helmet how they like. Personally I don't like the way that helmet looks (MR and eFX), I prefer a screen accurate helmet Quote
