While I am waiting for my AP kit to arrive I have been getting everything ready to start the build. Would it be best to use a thin sheet of ABS (say like 1mm) for shimming the AB and back sections? TKRobert Posted January 2, 2011 Report Share Posted January 2, 2011 I have an ABS suit (.093) but opted to use .060 Styrene for my ab plate shims. The colour actually matched up pretty well and I found that the thinner and, therefore, more flexible material works better in this area. So your idea of 1mm ABS would probably work well.
