TK4205 Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 (edited) This is the stormtrooper I rescued at C4. The tore him off the wall and left him laying for dead. I stuck plastic bags to the sticky side for transport home. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f386/wtatt794/DSC04204.jpg I'm curious as to the origins of this production pic. It's the same picture on the kenner 12" box. I see a couple things off. one is his drop box and the other is his backwards holster. Laspector[TK] Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 Whats wrong with his drop boxes? Quote
TK4205 Posted August 9, 2007 Author Report Posted August 9, 2007 Drop boxes seem a little high. One is tucked up under hid belt. Quote
Scott M.[TK] Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 I agree the drop boxes seem a little "high" to me as well. They should be a tad lower so they move. I also noticed that his blaster has no counter or magazine to it. Maybe all they has was a right hand holster and mounted it for a reverse draw??? Quote
TK4205 Posted August 10, 2007 Author Report Posted August 10, 2007 His blaster is the SE-14R I do believe. Quote
BactaReality Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Nice find there, so someone just discarded this and left it laying around? TK-4205 is right, and the holster is made to accommodate the size difference. If you check out other production pics of this same trooper, they show the blaster holstered, and it is indeed facing the other way. At first I thought this might've been a Fathead, but now I'm curious where this came from. Quote

They were on display at the fathead booth. I was too late to save the other ones. The guy ripping them down told me that they couldn't be saved. I asked him if I could try. If the sticky back touches each other, it's toast. I peeled him down, laid him on the floor face down and covered him with plastic bags. In armor I might add. Quote

Hmm, I thought they were supposed to be easier to transfer from one wall to the next, I should've know better. I was thinking about getting one of these, so it's good to know what to expect when I do decide to get one. Quote
