looks promising, from the uk tho... doesnt list how thick it is either.... would def like to know if its a recast or what

Well, seeing as how it is FX armor, and FX is no longer being made, it is a recast. My suggestion, stop cruising eBay and pick a kit from this list: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=11538

I would agree, avoid ebay and go with the list linked to above.

Definitely not FX, but that raises the question (at least in my mind): What/who is it - SDS, perhaps?

As said by others stick to the list. From what I've seen unless it is a found part, like a M38 scope, eBay is not the way to go.
