tigger68[501st] Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Just wanted to post this for those troopers in the states. If you are looking to add a second undersuit or purchase a new one, right now at Target the Champion Compression Duo Dry undershirts (and in some cases also the tights are still available) are on clearance. I know at the store I work at they are currently $9.98 and the price will keep dropping. Just thought I'd give everyone here a heads up. I just purchased one so that I'll have it when I get my armor. bluehickey Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Here has been my experience with the compression type of shirts: I got my first one at Walmart for $10, it was the Starter brand. I got Under armor leggings and paid about $45 for them. Every time I trooped, the leggings were very comfortable, while the Starter shirt was unbearably uncomfortable. I felt like someone was squeezing me entire upper body every time I wore it (yes I bought the right size). I decided to go with a different brand shirt to get some relief. I picked up the Champion shirt from Target for $13. This shirt was a little better, but still not much fun to wear. I finally decided that I would just save up and get the Under Armor brand since the leggings were so comfortable. I bought the shirt and have worn it for a couple of troops and it is a bit more comfortable than the other two. Quote
Chunk[501st] Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 (edited) I bought the Starter Brand shirts & leggins & underewear at Walmart too. I love mine! I wear the shirt & underwear everyday at work & will never go back to a cotton shirt undernearth. In So California wearing "real" body armor gets hot! The "underarmor type" shirts keep me cool & dries very quickly compared to a plain T shirt. When ever Im at Walmart, I always try to pick up one or two shirts & underwear. They are switching over to the newer style, Im not sure how much longer I'll be able to find them. In response to Bluehicky, one time one of my shirts that was marked XXL was super tight. Perhaps you got one of these mismarked shirts. That only happened to me once, & I have been buying them for the last 5years Edited May 5, 2010 by Chunk Quote
