O2/Thermal Detonator Mod Questions

Hi All,

 

I am currently creating a O2/Thermal Detonator Canister, i have the parts on order (main Button Facia cost me £2 Bargain!) and i was wondering what is more accurate,painting the tube Grey and adding Chrome Trim on the edges? or just leaving the tube grey with no chrome trim? i will also need to get some clips to attach it to the belt.

 

I have seen so many different version with and without the chrome trim, so i am unsure what is accurate or does this matter?

the accurate configuration is without the chrome trim, the trim was added to simulate the metal from the clips, for the clips you can buy some from Jesse, here's the thread -----

When in doubt about some costume detail, check some screengrabs from the actual costume or pop in the DVD, press pause and zoom in on the desired detail. Other fan costumes often don't provide the most accurate detail IMHO. That's where the chrome trim confusion came from in the first place.

Thanks guys for the Info. I'll leave the chrome trim out (not a fan of it anyways). I think i will watch ANH and have a look at some troopers for references.
