Dearmeat
Just wanted to post some more pics showing my progress with the kit. I have worked on the chest plate, however I do have a question maybe you guys can help me with. Before I put the cover straps on the top, look at how long they are. My questions are, 1) Are the cover straps supposed to be that long? 2) Should I cut them to size or center them? I plan on using Velcro to attach them to the plate. I would appreciate any input you guys can give on the build. Here are some more pics. Had to trim the straps and drill holes. Rivets in place. Checking strap size. They look long. What do you think? Another strap view. Thanks again, Keith.........
RogueTrooper[TK]
Hey Keith, The strap size looks good to me... Is there a reason that you want to Velcro them instead of gluing? Keep up the good work man!
pandatrooper[TK]
Length looks fine, you might want to bend them to curve them a bit more. Glue the fronts and let the back float for screen accurracy!
Dearmeat
Thanks guys, that's what I needed to know. I will glue the front and let the back ride. Just want to make sure this thing looks great.
TKittell[501st]
I cut the length of my straps a bit. I cut inbetween the 2nd and 3rd (from the end) THIN tabs on one end only. Yea, glue the fronts down with a wee bit of E-6000 and let the backs flow. I first tried using industrial velcro, and I didn't like that.
