No, it all works fine

Well after rebuilding my AP Helmet for the third time (and i'm sure i'll do it again!) .... i have now painted it Matt Black inside (after comments from Mr's Cherrington and Hailes! Lol) .... and have managed to fully load it with a ROM FX, 2 x 4AA Battery Packs, 2 x 9v Battery Packs, a Fan, built in Mic, and Hovi Speakers and some nice comfy padding! .... and it still fits on me noggin!!! Wahooh! 8)

Looks perfect to me ..... but then i'm a bump fan!

Just been officially cleared in the UK Garrison as TK9408 .... Wahooh!! Thanks to everyone that helped with advice and bits etc ..... especially Pete (Stukatrooper) Mark (firbladejedi) and Curtis for his build thread which helped me immensley! Cheers Guys!

Finished at last!!!!! .... and 501st membership applied for! What do ya reckon people? I think its turned out ok for my first attempt ...... especially as i had to resize a lot of it as im only 5ft 7"

After building my AP Helmet and using stickers ... as with the rest of my armour i decided to change a few bits! I decided i wanted it painted, so off with the stickers it was .... after a poor attempt at painting it myself (it was ok but i wasnt happy with a few bits) .. another set of stickers went back on! lol <_< ... i still really wanted it painted though as the stickers looked ok .... but ok wasnt enough really! ... so ... i then enlisted the help of my partners ex-husband! Lol Phil has done a bit of model making as a hobby in his spare time so i asked him if he fancied having a go at painting my Lid ... he was a bit apprehensive to start with, but after having a look on www.starwarshelmets.com he agreed to give it a go ... ... well i got it back yesterday and what can i say, he has done an absoloutly mint job on it ... airbrushed and then touched up totally by hand! He even took pictures along the way .... let me know what ya reckon .... The back traps ....

Its a lot of money eh? Ya would of thought for that amount they could have done a better job! Suprised they didnt ask AA to do it for em?!! pmsl!!

And finally here it is !!!!! (still got a few bits to do like the o2 tank and a few tidying up bits etc)

Well i know i havent reported in lately so thought i best let ya know whats been happening!! As you may or may not know i am only 5ft 7" and quite slim and wanted to make my AP Armour as accurate as i could get it considering my height and build, but i also needed to be able to wear it comfartably too?!! So ..... with the help of my GF we got out the hairdryer and reshaped the AB, Back, Butt and chest plates to make them narrower to fit my small build! I then wanted to make the thigh pieces look as good as possible but because of my height i needed to take about 3" off the height!!!!! plus i wanted to be able to bend so decided to dremel out behind the kness too!! Still wanting to keep them looking as acurate as possible (but not really wanting the rough cut look at the back that most of the film suits had) i decided to comprimise slightly and go for a nice finished look at the back of the knees! So using some good reference pics i got going with the dremel etc and here's the result! .... Considering how much i took off i think/hope i got the shape pretty good?!

Helmet pretty much finished last night .... looks ok for my first attempt i reckon! Have got some new lenses to go in and need to line it, fit mesh etc ....
