Welcome Michael
Use the wealth of knowlegde that these guys have before you commit to buying and fitting your armour.
I didn't and I almost ended up with a poorly fitted kit

Hiya Trevor mate.
Good to see you here too.
Darren ( we met at the NSC - I was the one in the white )

Youe were unlucky with the heat gun there mate. Your repair looks like it should work though. Be sure to post pics of the finished repair.
Good luck

Remember too, that you cannot use actual white in filming. It blows out the camera. Most "white" you see in film is actually off white. Example: The AT-AT walker helmets are a light gray in reality, but on film (in the movie) they look white. So I would think that the TK's would be an off white as well.
WOW I never knew that. Often wondered why I heard people talking about movie accurate gray AT-AT driver lids.
They do say you learn something new everyday.

Hey Guy.
Good luck on your quest for EIB ( I'm going for it too after my clone is done ).
See you at Movie Mania 3....

That's exactly how I want to do the brow trim on my next helmet.
Nice work mate.

Skygunbro is working on sculpting the concept TK armor. The helmet is done and is a beauty.
Now that would be VERY cool.

Whats E6000? do i just walk into the hardware store and say
"i need some E6000 glue"
and they'll be all like
"here ya go son, have fun!"
lol I don't think so, does it have another name?
This is one of the things that is actually OK to buy from eBay. That's where I got mine from.

Hiya Joe. Welcome to where the shiny plastic people hang out.

Hiya Jo, welcome to the FISD.
If I can give one bit of advice, don't buy from ebay or internet sellers. Browse around here for a while and you will start to get a feel for the many 'Fan' makers that do superb, accurate armour.
Good luck mate.

Nice work Richard looks like 'EIB' to my humble eyes.
-
Hi Victor.
Don't forget to fill in your personal details so that people know where you are from

Welcome to the place where the shiny ones hang out John.

Welcome mate.

One or two more Warren, for 501st clearance I do believe those drop box straps should be white and the 'open' edges of the overlaps on your thigh fronts are facing out. I got hammered on that one. The 'open' parts of all overlaps need to face inward, away from the public.

Hi Andy. Welcome to the FISD. Are you gonna join the UKG?

Hi Mike.
I used white silcone sealant. No painting required and flexible.
