1. Recently I purchased new crates for my armor from Home Depot, the black ones with yellow lids (cheap). After repainting and adding 2 layers of clear coat to my kit it was very white and glossy BUT. After it cured and was trooped in twice I stored the suit (except the helmet) in the crates...pull it out for rouge 1 and everything is an ugly shade of yellow while the helmet remained white.
I looked up "yellow armor" but all the threads I can find are regarding the plastic itself yellowing witch is not the case here
Could this be due to the totes? Any options besides full strip and repaint?
2. Hope we can figure out the shipping problem guys, dying to start the build thread
3. Yep, I ordered a kit a few days ago..Will post build log
4. Thanks bro =)

I cant wait to get working on that helm..

5. WHATTTTTTTTT!!!!!!????? I really didnt think I had a chance.. this is great! I checked my comments first and someone left a comment saying congrats on the new helmet and my heart skipped a couple beats ***CFO ROCKS*** thanks Joe! Mark that build thread is on the way! -Steve
6. congrats on the new lid!

7. the paste goes a very long way..one batch can be stretched to do a lot of surface. I personaly used the other variant they list on the page but heres some proof..after one application to the r2 cooler (the coolers are quite large and one batch was plenty) its hard to see but it starts to pull the yellow out and takes a few time to really get all of it out..the white lines in the yellow is where the chimical started working..after your done just wipe the residue off and theres no negative effects also the r2 legs are wayyyy thinner than any armor out there..so I wouldnt worry about that.. the "Tezza's Arrowroot Variant Recipe" is the one I used..make sure you microwave it until its a thick paste and let it cool before adding the oxy
8. Yea, definitely looks ROTJ but I wonder If anyone's knows if it was screen used or a tour suit or whatever else LF mite have put in the exhibit..
9. Hey everybody..just got done trooping the opening of the exhibit in Lafayette LA..It was great even got on tv I looked at the TK on display in the exibit and wanted to know if anyone has the story on this set? the belt was just thin white webbing, looked temporary, I'm really not sure about it so anybody know? here it is:
10. You mite want to try this stuff out..--------- I'm using it on an R2 cooler restoration and have had great success. Be carefull though..after the mix is ready add the oxy and apply with a rag in a light coat then set in the sun all day..may take multiple treatings but it works Its used in restoring old computers..may want to try a test spot first just encase -Steve
11. You have a point But basically what I'm saying is that if one person strives to do every in and out on there armor they possibly can and know how things should be but have the fx body armor, should that deny them access to said information? just something to discuss no negativity here
12. I have FX armor but a different helm and are still trying to get everything as cannon as I can down to the strapping eventually... Are you saying that If someone wears FX its ridiculous to make It as accurate as that kit can be? sure Id love new more accurate armor but I made the mistake years ago of getting FX before I knew more about the community but Its just not possible for me money wise.. not to be rude or anything just wanted to ask.. as for the hoarding info..I personaly think its up to the person who has the info whether or not they give it out in the end..
13. TK 5279 requesting access! http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=12469 -Steve
14. I'm getting close to taking my approval pictures and sending them in so I wanted to see what everybody though about how I'm looking so far... Wish me luck for getting in! Im on the right: Any of the other troopers in this pic notice themselves?? -Steve
