Very sharp bucket man, loving it!!!
-
It is a right of passage!!! You have not trooped as a TK until you have smelled new CABoots!!!
Haha I have to agree with this, you just get used to it and after a while, you might even begin to like it lol!!!
-
Yeah you need the retro style ones, I tried using the newer style (kept them from Avatar a few weeks back) and it does not work. Now where are those old ones lol?

Welcome to the FISD and the FL Garrison!
-
I too will recommend the E6000, I tried different things first but wish I had just listened to the masses when they told me to get it lol. It works great and is a slow cure so you have time to adjust if needed, cleans up amazingly well and when dried, stays rubbery. It's worth holding off to get the right stuff and build her up right, believe me!!!
Good luck!!

Welcome to the FISD, what part of FL are you in (what squad)?
-
Do you run fans?
No (not yet)
Which Hovi do you use?
Stompers Hovi's
Regular Hovi Mic Tips?
Yes
Hovi with the mini speakers built in?
No
Is your Brow and neck trim accurate?
Yes
I currently only have three buckets, one CAP, one F/X and some fiberglass one that is of unknown origin (to me anyway), the latter two just sit on my bookshelf.

Currently running a Maker of Things resin E-11. It has served me well thus far so I voted accordingly.
I will say that when it comes time to replace it, the Hyperfirm will be my only choice, after seeing a squad mates up close and handling it, there's no other way to go.

Under Armor heat gear, two piece. In South Florida, this is has been a very good setup so far.
-
Yeah that is why I open my bin, remove all the soft stuff for washing and allow the armor to air out as soon as I get home from any troop, here in South Florida stuff will mildew fast if you don't.
Good luck man, a good hot wash with laundry detergent should take care of your soft parts and hopefully any stains left behind from it.

A pic would really help us out. I also use FX with Caboots size 11 and now TK boots size 12 and have not ever had that issue.
-
Get some E6000 and glue those puppies!
Agreed, glued mine in the front and velcro'd in the back. I used industrial velcro in the back, so they stay tight but can be adjusted or moved if need be.
-
Family fist brother everybody will understand. Thanks for all that you have done man!!
-
Haha that never gets old.
-
Give us some kind of pics so we can better help you out. What type of helmet is it and that will tell what type of plastic it is. Depending on that , there are chemicals that might help remove that without doing damage or you could always paint the bucket.
Sorry to hear it man, I know the feeling.
-
Congrats on being official bro.

Finally decided to jump on this since I have read so many good reviews. They are fast, I emailed him this morning (Saturday) and had a reply in less than 30 mins. I replied with my shipping address and again, had a quoted price almost immediately. I payed with Paypal and just checked my email again and I already have a tracking number with UPS.
Looking forward to having these for my TD, I ordered 12's this time though. With my Caboots in 11 (my normal size) I added the Dr. Sholls gel insoles but they made the boots WAY too tight. My toes were actually numb after a 8 hour troop a back in August. I figure I can use the extra space and add the gel soles again this time.

Here is a close up of my CAP. I guess you could say I went for the squared look, right to the edges.
----------
Hope that's helpful.

Try to find the E6000 like they said above, most good craft stores will carry it like Michael's (if they are up in Canada), if not you can find it easily on Ebay. It's easy going stuff and bonds well while leaving a little flex. Some other glues can damage the plastic, leave no time to play with or are just a pain lol.
Good luck.

Nice job man, looks great. I vote to leave it that way, people spend a lot of time to paint their resin casts up the way yours looks naturally!!!
-
It's the end of October for us Florida folks and we too are very much looking forward to this!!
-
Wow that's incredible!
-
Haha I too wish I had being "too skinny" as a problem lol.
Yeah the thighs look more rounded as apposed to the usual shape they are but wait until you have it all together and then see.
Can you apply for EIB with a TD?? .... or are you meaning deployment with the MEPD?
-
Might have to take the plunge on this too, I need another pair for my TD I am working on and for that price, you can't beat it.
How do I attach Flat Green Lenses?
in Hard Armor (General Discussion)

I used clear automotive RTV silicone. It holds the lenses in like glue but if you ever need to remove them, silicone peels right off with no effort. Been this way for many months and has worked great!
