And it's sold! Thanks everyone for looking!

A friend of mine purchased a SE-14R and scope, but needs to get rid of a few things. It's brand new, just needs paint and it's ready to go. I, as well as many other FISD members, own one of these and the quality is fantastic.
He's asking $125 + $10 shipped USPS Priority (US only). You can reach him at kally.pup@verizon.net.

There's no interest list. Mike has a site set up for ordering, as well as pics and samples, here: http://troopercomminterface.com/

Like I said on the FLG boards, nice work! Can't wait til it's done and can see it in person.

Well said Schaf, and a great attitude to have about it. I took mine off to not look like I was gloating and I knew there were so many people upset that I was picked. Oh well. Sorry to derail the topic!

I sport a small sticker in memorial of one of our fallen troopers on my bicep, which I can cover easily when needed.

Only 200 of the well over 3000 members got the opportunity to go. It was a sore point for a lot of members because they didn't get picked, thought there were conspiracies behind it, and so on. I took mine off after doing one convention with them on.
Yes, they are something to be proud of, but not something you want to keep shoving in people's face.

I get what you're saying now, but pictures are always welcome! Heck, a tutorial may even be in order if you're up to the task!

Funny story: Some guy in my garrison, we'll call him "Kahler," had his tube stripes on backwards for like over a year!
-
Welcome!

That's really awesome to hear! I love stories of the 501st giving to the community in times of desperation and strife, though of course I wish there was no need for it.

Wow, it's been almost 11 months... those guys really need to take off those Rose Parade patches.
And no, it's not a jealousy thing, cuz I was there.

Welcome aboard.

Not sure I follow, but glad you got it working.

I personally hate just about everything about Halo, but that's a really well done MC.

..don't count on that..I have the same set up and adding foam behind the speakers did NOTHING to increase volume or reduce feedback....
Really? That sucks. It's pretty loud as it is, I'd just like to get a little more volume out of it for noisey cons and such. I'll give it a try anyway... Nothing ventured, nothint gained.
I will try that. Everything was good until I did the mods. I will try to hook the amp speaker wires to a different jack and not use the one on the board. As I said I can hear voice and sound out of the speakers but I have to hold them up to my ear and then its barely audible.Hmm, pretty odd. Can you get a pic of the set up/wiring?

Thank you to all the Troopers who have placed their orders, I'm BLOWN AWAY by everyone's compliments and confidence in the props I supply to the trooper bretheren!!
No problem, Tony! You do great work and I always give people their due respect when they produce a quality product at a great price.

I'm really surprised we don't already or at least I have'nt seen anyone sport the "no stripes" look yet. That's something I'd actually like to do eventually. I'd also agree with the idea that these "no stripe" characters are in fact noobs. Those guys certainly appear often enough to demand a legit 501st variation IMO.
Actually, I've seen a couple people go with the no stripes look. One of them was here when we did Star Wars Weekends in Orlando this year.
-
No problem, like I said, it's a common mistake!
-
There will be another run of regular patches sometime later this year.
These, like all 501st merch, will be limited to 501st members only for purchase.

Hey Carlos,
When you gutted the RS amp, did you connect your aerator speakers to the wires that were connected to the amp speaker? I kinda did the same thing but I connected them up using mini plugs and plugged it into the jack on the side of the amp board. I get almost no sound but I do get sound. All I can think of is that the jack is made for earphones and has a lower output than the direct wires.
What do you think?
Help!
I did mine the same way you did: put the speaker wires to a mono mini plug. Are you using a powered mic? It's required with that amp.

I was watching some reporter actually broadcasting his own house burning down lastnight.I watched a reporter reporting from his own burning home. Heartbreaking stuff.
But you're absolutely right. Things may have sentimental value, but they are just "things." A life can never be replaced.

Use the search box for fan wiring. This happens all too often. What you're doing is connecting the + and - from the fan to switch as well as the + and - of the battery. Connect the - from the fan and battery directly (not the switch) then connect the + from the fan and battery to the separate posts on the switch.

After running into Paul, Steve, and others at CV, thought I'd make my way back to FISD. For those who have been here a while, I was the S@A for the innagural term, keeping things in line with a black gloved fist. I have some serious work to do on my TK (it's been neglected for too long), so I'll be popping in for some pointers.
