  1. Thank you guys!!!! I love the TK, so I've tried to do it justice, even on a big guy like myself.

Boozel turned me on to RT and told me about the thighs. It's one of the biggest issues I have with my armor. No matter what I do, I can't get the area to shrink (sides of thigh to belt/butt). there is just so much black space there. Boozel let me know that his thighs are much bigger than say a TE/TE2 or other ANH armor out there. I'm going to have to give RT a try. I like the biceps too on the RT.

  2. Thanks Scott. I agree about the thighs. I need to cut them to a better shape (odd since I have this shim...). Darn FX thighs.

The bucket is TE (except the last one for Paul and Terrell)

    EDIT:

sorry, forgot to post about the buttons. They are from VaderDave's first run. I have another set as well (from another maker). The colors look good, the pictures... the light and the camera we have don't do the color justice.

  3. All right, It's been a lot of work, a lot of time, a lot of frustration.... no... just kidding. Lots of fun.

Since joining, I always wanted to "correct" my armor. It's taken some time/attention span. I get lost in other project, but it keeps me coming back to the TK.

I'm a big guy(6'3" 250ish), so it's FX for me. I've tried to make some changes to it for fit, but it's still tough.

So here is where I am at? What say you?

  4. Paul - If you want quick and strong, go with Thick or Medium (I recommend Medium) CA (superglue for those asking waht CA is). I've never had an issue with my armor busting apart. I have broken snaps, but never plastic to plastic...

To make it even faster, add a little spray of CA accelerator. It cures the CA in seconds. Be careful, it does get a little hot and makes the fingers stick even quicker :)

I’ve built a couple of sets now with CA. I will never use anything different.

  5. If you are interested in the ANH v2, I've got a small run I'm putting together with Kevin. It's starting soon, so you would have to be ready quick (I think you saw one at my house this summer - if not I can show it to you to see if you like it). There are other great buckets as well.

I have a set of buttons for you if you want them. Just let me know.

    What else you need :)

  6. Well, this is going to be MOST interesting.

Museum Replicas Joins With Lucas Licensing for Star Wars™ Collectibles

New Agreements Begin This Month for Collectible Replica Clothing and Armor

Fans and collectors will find new lines of collectibles from Museum Replicas and their new licensing division Windlass Studios in 2008; it was announced today by Museum Replicas. Lucas Licensing’s STAR WARS replica clothing and armor licensee will assume the design and production of the high-end, collectible ensembles and full sets of the iconic armor including stormtrooper and bounty hunter armor.

Museum Replica’s line will debut in the spring and continues the remarkable popularity of high-end collectibles for discerning STAR WARS enthusiasts. The line will feature replica clothing and armor of such unforgettable characters as Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul, Padmé Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, Boba Fett, Han Solo and Princess Leia.

Newly formed Windlass Studios will develop, manufacture and distribute collectible, limited-edition replicas of full-sized and wearable ensembles. They expect the first ensembles to be available for pre-order in the spring while the armor is set to be unveiled for the first time at San Diego Comic-Con International in July.

The STAR WARS clothing and armor collection can be seen in person at the Museum Replicas/Windlass Studios exhibitor booths at the International Costume Show Las Vegas, San Diego Comic-Con International & Atlanta Dragon*Con 2008

  7. I got off my butt and fixed my bucket. Like I said before, it was a FX hero/stunt mix. So now it's just stunt. :)

I cut the extra frown teeth, re-did the frown paint, and added the screws to the ears. The hardest part was removing that damn old frown paint. It's not perfect, but it looks good.

Now I just need to add the side plates and I'm done.

  8. I need to install my side plates which will require me to redo my ab plate.

I also have a incorrect Stunt/Hero FX helmet that I troop with. Sure I "could" throw on the TE, ANH, or MR for the picture, but I want to do it correct. Not to mention I want to do a Elite FX just to do it...

  9. Wow... it's been a while since I updated this.

The ears/antenna have just been added.

I've also been fitting the liner and electronics (you can see the speaker wire). I still have to finish up the top section, so you can see the Velcro there…

The liner is a padding system for military helmets (Team Wendy). I have a pin head, so I have to scratch build something to make the interior of the helmet smaller. I've got half painted and still need to do the other side (you can see it's white)

Well anyway… I've got a ton more work to do and by the progress I've been making it should be done in 2050…
