  1. OK. Noted . Thank you. :-)
  2. Thank you for this I used it to make my belt. small changes. I 'bagged out' the belt after sewing both sides and one end then push plastic supports for the Detonator and the Holster in. The Detonator bit snapped horizontally but will still give support to the piece, I needed better plastic.
  3. Hi, Trying to attach photos and the laptop gave up and rolled over, but There seems to be files in my attachments tab. I have successfully inserted them below. SO much to learn... Here are the parts drying post painting. They are printed in white pla but I wanted to improve the finish. Undercoated, then Halfords gloss white and lacquer topcoats. In process of assembly fastenings using snap fastenings from Webbers and 3d printed plates from Thingiverse ( I will post all the file locations and credit makers on the 3d topic later). I have been slowed by needing 24hours following each gluing [e6000] and only having 6 clamps, not all of which will fit for each fixing. And this is the helmet. I printed and painted it first 4 years ago. It is not the one that came with the suit stl. I am printing that later. I sanded and repainted it in the same as the rest of the suit. it's hand painted details. Tube stripes are decals, cut out from vinyl and individually stuck on then lacquered. I have also self made the lenses. but not yet in place. and I printed an improved hovi mix pair and added metal grill (old kitchen sieve). Apart form the known faulty helmet... How is it so far?
  4. Hello everybody. I am Rebecca, living in Wales,UK. No garrison affiliation. I am a cosplayer and have been lurking and researching on FISD for some months. Thank you for this wonderful resource. I have learnt a great deal and would not have got as far as I have without your posts, forums, instructions, guides and images. I am most grateful. So since April I have printed a ANH Trooper armour and am in post production, setting fastenings and such. My helmet is a hot mess and badly inaccurate. I cannot now even find the stl file I printed it from, possibly has been withdrawn it was that bad. I will print another later. Right now work colleagues are super excited just to see me in it. I have no plans to join 501st. I see you guys at cons all the time and I very much appreciate the work you put in but I'm just not that committed. If my suit fits and looks OK for cosplay, it will be good enough for me.... You can all shout at me now... :-) Thanks for listening, I will update when more progress is done. Bex.
