  1. Hey guys or gals...this is my MR rebel blaster shown here...does anyone know where I can get the loop piece for my E-11 Blaster...any help would be great.

You should be able to get them at any hardware store. I've seen them at ACE and Lowe's. -Not sure about in Canada though. You could also make one out of a thick wire coat hanger. You're going to have to paint it either way. I've never seen them in Black.

  2. I wear a 10 and I found that CABoots 10's were a bit big. I decided to keep them because with thick socks, they are fine, -but if I wear thin black socks I feel like I'm wearing clown shoes. Also, they are such a pain in the a$$ to put on when they are slightly bigger that I wouldn't want to get them much smaller. I guess I need a giant 4 foot long shoe horn. :-)

  3. What ever happened to T*E? I was going through a bunch of old threads in the ForSale section and he had a bunch of really nice looking helmets for reasonable prices? I have looked around and saw that he was having a hard time with getting orders out in a timely manner. Does anyone know if he's making helmets anymore?

  4. Thank you. That is good advice to try other trooper's buckets. So far I have only ever met one trooper 2 years ago when I was Boba Fett on Halloween and he had an FX bucket. Lol. Hopefully my local garrison will do something in the near future so that I can try on different lids. It doesn't look like any TE2's are going to be made until late spring/early summer so I have a lot of time if I got that route. It would be nice if someone with several TE2's would simply sell one!!! Quit hording them all. Nudge nudge. -You know who you are! :P

  5. The 70th Explorers and Midwest Garrison are teaming up to troop the 3d Annual Walk for Wishes at the St Claire Square Mall in Fairview Heights IL (thats about 15 min east of St Louis) We will be a part of the children's Funstop Scavenger Hunt. If any trooper is interested in attending (even is you are not official yet) drop me a line.

As a part of this event we are trying to also do the sponsored walk portion called the Adopt-a-Wish Challenge. The basic gist is trying to raise $5000 to literally sponsor one child's wish. If we are successful the 501st will be named as the sponsor of that wish and we will recieve a framed picture of the child we sponsored. If you are interested in helping out with that endeavor please let me know.

    That sounds great!

  6. I'm glad I examined my Hengstler before cutting. I slid off the bottom plastic cover to have a look, and there was more black plastic underneath. It looked like you could almost barely see through it so I held a flashlight (or torch for you people on the other side of the pond) and there was nothing behind the plastic. So I'm just going to leave it the way that it is. So make sure that there is something there before you cut through it!!!! Here's a pic of mine.:

  7. Congratulations on an outstanding acquisition!

My MG34 is a joy to hold. Even when I'm not in armor, I'll often pick it up and strike a pose or two, just 'cause it's that cool. B)

Congrats. I picked up the "B grade" from him. I'm still waiting for delivery - should be here tomorrow. Lewis was kind enough to paint, weather, and wood grain it. (he even filled in the spots where it apparently sank a tiny bit.) It looks awesome! -And a steal for only $200! (The Fisher-Price Buggy wasn't included in the sale even though I begged Lewis for it. j/k)

  8. I got me an AP and a big head - 59cm. cant fit it on with my glasses

in fact I cant even get my glasses into my MRCE - I have a odd all round head - like a watermelon.

    I would love a TE2

    not tried a TM

remember that these more accurate lids will require the patented trooper screw top insertion :D

other thing to consider - AP is ABS, TE2 is HIPS. TM is now is ABS - I think; sure TM owners or paul will chime in on that one

I can't put my FX on without turning it to the side a little first. I hope my head isn't too big! I'm going to go measure it.... I hope no one sees me. HaHa. OK, I'm a 59.5cm or 23.25inch. I'm guessing that a TE2 might be a better option. (I am assuming that a MRCE is smaller than an AP and TE2????

  9. Help needed. A few months ago when I started looking around for armor, I decided that with my size, almost 6'2" that FX was going to be the best option. I'm very happy with my choice; however, I should have followed everyone’s advice and gone with the FX "lite" version without the helmet, strapping, etc. In the end, I didn't use anything that came with the kit. I used plastic welder, industrial Velcro, suspenders, etc.

Now that I've got it all built. I'm very happy with it except for one thing. To quote Mike Myers in "So I Married an Axe Murderer" my head ..."looks like an orange on a toothpick".

Don't get me wrong. It's not that bad. It actually looks pretty good. (I know that my back plate is slding down my a$$.... I've fixed that and lowered the Cod piece) But I want to improve on the look and make the helmet look a bit more accurate. I don't have a giant head, but it's not tiny either. A friend recommended RT-Mod helmet. I want to be able to have at least one fan and my WalMart Voice Changer/Aerator Speaker system in it too. (Sounds system takes up hardly any room.) I would also like to have at least a little room to breathe. I don't want to have my face pushed up against the front of the helmet.

What would you guys recommend? I have spent a fortune on this hobby so far and my fiancée is probably going to kill me if a buy another item for this obsession. Lol. But I'm going for elite eventually and want it to look better.

  10. Excellent work on the Product ID number John! I can no longer find them at my Wal Mart so I had to order one off ebay the other day. Ended up paying 3 times what the price was at Wal Mart.

Thanks. I called two Walmarts today and one person said that they couldn't look it up with the ID number. So, I called another one and they were able to look it up in their database and tell me which stores had them and how many were in stock. I picked up 6 more today, but they are already sold! (I kept one for me for when I get my elite qualifying helmet). I love my FX and have put a lot of work into it, but there's nothing I can do to it to make it "Elite Worthy" it's a shame.
