  1. I'll spare you all the sob story, but I have some huge bills that I have to pay so I must regrettably sell my TE2. This bucket was built by TE2 himself and painted by me. $300 *shipping included in the USA* (I will ship anywhere in the world -shipping will be a bit extra) There are a couple of hairline splits in the face paint but you cant barely see them and could be sanded out and resprayed if desired.... But I didn't see the point. PM me if you are interested.

  2. Hows the power useage in regards to the blaster electronics and the laser????

It's all powered on the AA batteries that came with the blaster. I have only had it wired up for 2 days, but I haven't noticed any power loss. I'll let you know if it drains the batteries, but so far so good... I've already blinded the neighbors cat, 2 dogs and fixed the old lady across the streets cataracts. :-)

  3. Guys, I recently bought a green laser pointer for next to nothing on ebay and thought that it would be really cool to add it to a hasbro blaster. It is really simple and if you haven't already done something like this, it looks really cool. First off you need to solder a positive and negative wire to the inside of your laser pointer. You will also need to tape down or glue the button on the laser so that it is permanently pressed in.

Then solder the positive red wire to the positive terminal in the blaster. Then drill a hole in the blaster where the fake plastic selector switch is. Install a momentary switch (push button on/off from Radio Shack) in the hole. You will also need to cut out a space for the button on the trigger.

Then solder the negative wire from the laser to one terminal on the switch and solder a short wire from the neg terminal on the battery to the other side of the switch and voila. You now have a laser sight on your blaster.

  4. Why are members of DIY Props being suspended. I am a member of both sites and pretty much keep a low profile. I have couple te2 helmets and one CAP bucket and FX armor. Are people honestly being suspended from FISD because they have armor that was recasted? I couldn't give a rat's an impolite person where you get your stuff from. Everyone should be having fun playing with their STAR WARS COSTUMES!!!!! I know some poeple have spent a lot of money to buy molds and have invested a lot of time and energy into this hobby. But unless you own a suit of armor that was in the movie, you are a recaster. Plain and simple. If you are in the armor business to make money and corner the market, you are stealing from LFL. Everyone shouold buy a Rubies costume if you want to high and mighty since it's licensed.

Can't we all just get along? I've never even trooped before, and to be honest, when I go out on halloween dressed as a TK, because of the bickering between the FISD, DIY, MEPD, etc, I am going to avoid any TK I see because I really would like to avoid any conversation about the hobby. I want to go out, have fun and drink beers with other people who are IN COSTUMES HOPING TO HAVE FUN!

I got an email newsletter from efx collectibles today. At the very end of the email they mention some upcoming projects including an "idealized symmetrical stormtrooper helmet"

Sadly, no pictures or anything else, but it's interesting. Since this is the group that used to work at Master Replicas, could this be a return of the MRCE under a new name? or an all new sculpt? Also, efx is working directly with Museum Replicas, the company producing those new high quality SW costumes, could this mean that we might be seeing armor pieces from Museum Replicas?

Should be interesting however I wasn't too impressed with the eFX or MR limited edition.

    1) The fiberglass was very heavy.

    2) It still just didn't look right.

Here is a pic of my CAP, eFX and TE2. I guess that it's just me, but I don't think that it looks right (so I sold it). It looks better the the MRCE, but that really isn't too hard to beat.

Thanks johnnymac for the offer. I'd like to find a place to order it from for referance and future suits but if I can't find some I might take you up on your offer.

Which one would be the one I want?

No idea... The shop that I bought mine from had 4 different kinds. I got the one that looked as close to my FX armor as I could. Unfortuantely, it didn't have a name. Sorry.

  7. Tupperware TK is VERY relieable and a really nice guy.

Just like to point out that I had an FX helmet. Looked awesome and it was fun to build. BUT, when I put it on I looked like a bobble head and I'm 6 feet 2 inches.

Look at the size difference between the FX and the TE2! You will probably look cartoonish with such a big helmet..... I did.

  8. You can't go wrong with the AP Second for the price... there are other options out there though. Just make sure that you take your time and look around. -Not just on this forum, but others as well. The helmet is the most inportant part of the armor, make an informed decision and take your time.
