  3. Thank you for your time and feedback! The list of required modifications was really overwhelming at first , but once I started diving into it and understanding the modifications and how to do them , it was all relatively simple. And yes I actually did end up ordering a new holster from Darman's Props! I submitted my updated photos this morning which I will share below.
  4. Here is a better picture of the buttons on the ab plate. Not sure if it is too dark or not :/
  5. Thank you for your time and advice. I am working on the modifications. The TD does seem to be a bit larger than normal. Do you think this will be a approvable despite the size?
  6. Dank Farrik! I just realized I forgot to affix my holster. On that note - if I understand correctly , I can affix the holder with Tandy snaps? ( straps on the inside of belt , Tandy snaps visible on the outside) Thank you for the advice

  8. I took some pics of my first test fitting last night. I can already see that I need to fix the crooked belt , bring the forearm pieces down and bring the chest plate down. I may need to bring the thighs down too. What are your thoughts? Thanks for your time and feedback.
  9. You're absolutely right. What are the guidelines on how much visable aluminum is allowed above the TD?
  10. Yeah , I have no real experience with either, obviously, but just from trying them on for initial fitting, I really like how solid and supported the thighs feel front to back. I will probably keep this style for now.
  11. Hello There! I recently acquired a secondhand set of armor and helmet which were made by Walt's Trooper Factory. The armor is basically new and has a lot of fittings already installed so I need to work on modifying them to fit me. At this point, I am going for Basic level approval. So far there are a few things I have questions/concerns about. Here is are some pictures of the full set with specific pics and questions below that : Right now, my biggest concern is the ab and kidney plate fitting. As you can see below, there is a gap in between the plates. I am not sure what to do to fix this other than loose some weight lol From what I can recall reading , some people say that a gap is not acceptable at all for basic approval while others say it is not ideal, but IS approvable for Basic Level. My next concern is the back cannister. The plate is set on top when is should be facing back. Should I try to remove it , trim it an re-glue it, or what are your recommendations? Last on my list ( for now ) of concerns is the strapping on the thigh pieces. The straps on there right now go up and over the shoulders. I haven't yet seen this method yet and most people seem to utilize the method of looping straps over a belt. Is there any reason why I should not use these over the should straps method? Thank you all for your time and help!
  12. Hello There! My name is Greg and I live in the San Fernando Valley ( Los Angeles Area). I am a currently a member of the RL with a couple different Jedi costumes but I have always wanted to be a Stormtrooper. I recently acquired a secondhand set of armor ( TK ANH Stunt) and I am excited to get it adjusted and fitted and hopefully 501st approved someday. I've been diving into this forum a lot lately, learning as much as I can and trying not to feel too overwhelmed by everything haha. I still kinda have a lot of questions though would love an appreciate all the help I can get. Actually if anyone knows of any armor parties in the Los Angeles area in the near future that I could attend that would be awesome too. I look forward to starting a build thread learning all that I can from you all.
  13. Hello There! First of all , I want to thank you Bart for starting this thread and I want to thank everyone for their feedback and advice on Bart's journey. I recently acquired a secondhand set of ANH Stunt armor made by WTF and this thread in particular has been very informative in helping me understand what I need to do to get the armor to fit me properly. I do still have a lot of questions though and I am wondering if this thread would be a good place to ask them since most of them are related to fitting and adjusting, or of I should start my own new thread as to not hijack Bart's thread? Thanks again to all
