As the title says, I need some old, used, dirty, almost unusable pair of nomex (style) gloves. This IS what most of the TKs use (besides screen accurate rubber gloves), right?
I just want to run some experiments.
Regards,
K.

Cool !!! dont forget to post pics of the gloves too!!! even thou i wear latex glove every day at work, i dont want to wear them in my TK, never liked bring work home but other luv there Latex ( pun intended )
Do you think there would be some interest in latex FREE hand plates, with the same properties (flex etc) tough? and if you couild attach them to nomex style gloves ?
Look Really Cool!!!please let us know how much for a set once you have it figured out!
Sure! will do! But I think it will be in the same price range like the other vendors.

okay guys,
After some time in the works I present to you the alternativ style for ANH latexhandguards:
I made the master myself from some styrene, made some plaster molds and bought some latex.. et voila!
This is the first pull, fresh out of the mold.
There will be soon a for sale thread! so keep you eyes open!
They will be moled with the first layer being pure white latex, follow by natural honey colored latex.
That way, they will LOOK painted, but you won't have any paint cracks ( tough screen accurate)
Oh, and I also found a source of highly screen accurate black gloves
Feel free to post comments and ,if you like, express your interest in buying a set.
regards,
K.

hey, mrbungle here. got my te2 armor and helmet a few weeks ago and i am now just getting started on it. this will be a slow go being my first tk build. i would like to do a anh hero, so if you see something that is not right. please let me know. help a noob out, man!
here is the kit. te2 ,son..... we ain't messing around over here!
i started trimming up the helmet, that will be the first part of this build. remember kids, four frown holes on the right, four on the left!
If you really wanna go hero, it would be three frown holes at each side, wouldn't it? (Unless it was a joke I didn't get. if that's the case, forget my post)

And just because, in other languages:
Spanish: Incuestionable lealtad
Japanese: 紛れもない忠誠 (magire monai chuusei)
Portuguese: Lealdade inquestionável
(I think the Japanese is right, but I'm not sure)
German: Unbezweifelte Loyalität
-
I think that's it, Karin!
It sounds just right.

My boyfriend had latin in school.
"Fidelitas sine dubio"
I even like the sound of it.

I don't mean to be nitpicky, or to sound like a doof, but I think "stormtrooper" is a translation of "sturmtruppen"... the other way round from the way you had it. Yeah, yeah, ever'buddy thumb their noses at Gypsyboy now.
hmmm... That is what I said, didn't I? Sturmtruppen was first...

Kaempfer means fighter, doesn't it?
yup. right. I like "Kämpfer" much better.
hmm.. maybe the "K" stands for "Karin" ?
K.
-
Yeah... that's what I mean. The connections are there anyway... so why not "keep it German?"
I guess it would be kind of akward is some say proudly: " Ich bin TruppenKrieger 421"
I don't like the idea of TKs being "space Nazis" LOL

So I've often wondered if anyone knows what the "K" stands for in "TK". We know, obviously, what "TS," "TD," "TB," and all the other identifiers mean... but the "K" in our beloved stormtrooper's TK has always been somewhat of a mystery.
Along these lines I asked a friend of mine who is fluent in German if he knew any words that might work for the "K." I thought German was a good language to pick from because 1) they have really cool sounding words... 2) I knew they probably had one that started with a "K"... and 3) so much of the Empire is based on Nazi Germany.
He came back, quickly, with quite a few options... and one stood out among the rest...
So... may I submit that the "K" in "TK" stands for "Krieger"... the German word for "Warrior."
The Nazi soldiers in WWII were also called "Sturmtruppen" which is a direct translation of "stormtroopers".
Just a thought

thanks ´Billy!
THAT is exactly the template I was looking for.
What would the correct thickness be?

I'm looking for a template to make an accurate helmet lining,
I DID try to draw my own (as somebody suggested), but my drawing skill are quite limited.
Can someone please help me out?
Cheers,

To finish off our trooper, I'd like to buy serveral items( which are almost impossible to find and are very expensive here in Austria).
E11(ANH) : sight guard
folding stock (resin is ok)
metal rail (can't do any metal work )
hengslter bracket (seee above)
Helmet: accurate neck trim (yes, I know about webers's)
accurate dark green actetate
clover shaped foam padding
Armor: accurate grey pipe, cut to lenght
accurate (bankers') clips (would be nice if they were already installed)
I hope someone can help me out. Please let me know! If possible, European seller preferred (shipping costs)
Regards.
Karin
Latex-FREE, flexible hand guards
in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance

Look what I did today!

These are latex FREE yet flexible hand guards. It still has some flaws, but they will be corrected with the next one.
There are many advantages:
* for people who dont like/ are allergic to latex
*no need to paint - they are already a glossy white- No flaking of paint!
* more durable than latex#
*the same flex, thus screen accurate LOOK
* you can attach it to non-rubber gloves like nomex.
What do you think?
