Sure! I believe it is just the angle of the photo, but I have replaced my original tips with Ukswrath's mic tips, so I'll take a photo of those this afternoon and post.

That is one of the characteristics of the original helmets used in the filming of ANH from my understanding. I would leave the helmet as is, showing all of its uniqueness.

Thank you, Mario!

Well, my plans to closely document my son's build did not go as planned. After school started back I found myself trying to squeeze in a few minutes here and a few there to get his kit done. He was also back to FSU, so we were only able to work on fitment when he was home on the occasional weekend. That being said, I did manage to get him finished up in time to submit before our Halloween troop. We're still have a few adjustments to make, but he was looking sharp this weekend. We hope to have his TK ID this week.

This thread is a lifesaver for me! I just received my son's kit from IA and I have no experience finishing 3D prints. My sincerest gratitude for sharing your progress and tips!

I finally had an opportunity to take some photos. I replaced the images in question with updated images showing the corrections to the rear shoulder gap and the left side of the belt. I removed the ABS from inside the belt and ironed it out the best I could. #fingerscrossed

I am awaiting an E-11 kit from Imperial Arms for my son's TK. Your build thread will definitely come in handy! I'm excited to follow your progress!

Congratulations to Mario on the promotion! He was instrumental with suggestions throughout my build that aided me in achieving EIB right out of the gate! He's such a great asset to this community!

@Firedog No hurry at all, just wanted to be sure you weren't waiting on us for anything. We'll be here when you're ready.
It's been a very busy couple of weeks for me, so I haven't had an opportunity to work on the belt and suit up again. I'm hoping to be able to do that within the next few days.

This is the best picture and comment for me personally. I dont even have my helmet yet, but I ordered the icomm from UKSWrath and I love it!. I noticed the same thing that for the volume output, I found that the mic needs to be nearly at my lips. I would like a more sensitive microphone, but with the fans, might make for a different problem.
I was going to comment to UKSWrath my appreciation of his work, and albeit I compensated him with payment lol.... Still I am very happy with the iComm. Excellent product. Highly recommend.
I do have a question however... what is the secondary unit in the package that has the usb attached to it, and a red connector on the other end?? I haven't sorted out what this is for... or where to plug it in ... lol
That is the USB adapter that allows you to plug your fan bracket into a USB power supply rather than the battery box.

Hey Shawn,
Thanks so much for your patience. Joseph is swamped with doing merch runs, so I'll be taking over this review. You've done a superb job with your build, but there are a couple items which we'd like to see corrected before proceeding with your application.
First, the L3 CRL states
- Canvas belt must be firm / sturdy in appearance. No creasing or sagging
You've done a really nice job with your self-made belt, but I do see some creasing around the edges. It may simply be a matter of ironing out those creases, or maybe just adjusting the way you're wearing the belt.
Reference:
Next, you've done a great job with the shoulder bell gap on the front, but the rear one is still a bit larger than we'd like to see.
- There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest/back plates.
Ideally there's essentially no gap but we understand that armor kits and troopers' bodies are different, so please do the best that you can. In your case it may just be a matter of trying to even out the gap between the front and rear.
Reference Image:
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Thanks Sha Sha. I have a piece of ABS plastic in that area on the belt for reinforcement for the holster. It looked great until I ran the iron over it. I may be able to remove it and iron it back out. I’ll also see what I can do with the shoulder bells. I was more concerned with the front gaps than the back, based off the CRL photo.

Congratulations on receiving your helmet and good luck on your build. You may find Eric Dyke's video series on assembling the AM 4.5 helmet helpful. I know I did.

Looking good! Your attention to detail is remarkable. I can tell you are as OCD as I am, although I feel as much as I try, I am never pleased with my attempts at perfection. That’s my character flaw.

It was good to finally get to wear this suit outside of my home and the small event was a great way to get my feet wet a little and meet some of the squad for the first time.
