  2. I have been gathering all the things I'll need for my Stormtrooper ANH armor (all thanks to@tigresa and her amazing support. Without her I couldn't have donde anything, gracias.) I just only want to know if any of you would add anything more to the list and to anounce that my costume is finally ready, only have to comission it now.

I currently have ready to purchase:

    The ANH armor kit

    The E-11 blaster

    The holster

    The canvas belt

    The neck seal

    The undersuit

    The boots

    The gloves

As I said I believe its everything already included and, again, a big shoutout to tigresa.

You need to be 18+ to join 501st. But most garrisons have some sort of youth club for younger ones where you get to take part while not being a full member.

But if you're considering a TK, regardless of if you're building it yourself or buying it pre-built - make sure that you've finished growing so that it doesn't get too small for you before you can join for real.

Yeah, I'm quite tall so I suppose I won't grow more. Anyway, thank you for the info

  4. Wow thank you very much for such a detailed awnser.

I was refering to RS Propmasters, as I saw them on a recommended thread. The current "problem" I have right now is that I'm not used at cosplay at all, so I've been considering to buy a built armor with all its stuff, as it would be better for a noob like me.

I have been looking at prices and it is quite expensive, but I have already started saving so I hope it won't end up being a problem.

One doubt I have is if there is any age restriction in the 501st. You see, my main goal is to get the armor itself, but I'd also like to get in the 501st, but I'm underage, so I don't now if this could become a problem of some kind.

    Thanks for the help

  5. First of all I'd like to thank everyone who answered my first post.

I have been researching about the different armor fabricators and types of armor. The one that has caught my attention the most for the moment are the Propmasters from UK. I've looked at the different types and I've seen there are two options: already build up or by pieces. If I ended up buying the armor from them, which option would you recommend for a newbie like me?

    Thank you very much! :D

Welcome aboard, Llorenç. You’ve come to the home of the Imperial Stormtrooper. :-)

Personally, I would suggest you purchase your armour, when you are ready, in one go. If you purchase in various goes, you run the risk of the plastic being different shades of white. Not a good look. Trust me, it’ll be worth the wait.

    Regarding suppliers, this is a really good read;

    https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/

Take a look at these suppliers and their various price points. Then, compare pictures of what they are offering against real stormtroopers one the movies. You’ll then be able to choose the best looking kit for your budget.

Before you spend any of your hard earned money, I’d recommend you post your thoughts here. We have a lot of experienced members that might be able to guide you to, or away from, certain suppliers etc.

Any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask. :-)

    Best wishes
    Dan/CableGuy

Thank you very much for the answer, I'll be checking the different suppliers

  7. Hello, let me introduce myself.

I am a complete newbie in all of this, all of it. I have never cosplayed anything, I haven't build any armor or anything like that. As I say, completley new.

The thing I do love and (I want to think) I know a lot of, is Star Wars. That being so, the idea of the 501st, costumes and all this stuff had sometimes popped in my head, but always like a hypothetical thing, never a real one. Now, though, I am pretty sure I want to start the journey of costumes and cosplay, so what better to start than my favourite saga.

I have been reading through the threads but I'm not yet sure about which armor supplier to buy to, if to buy it all build up or by parts... I don't know anything, I don't even know if I'm posting this at the right forum.

Being the such inexpert I am, I'd like to know what would some of you, being as veterans as you are, think is the best thing to do in my place.

Thank you very much for reading all this, I hope I make a good stormtrooper.
