  1. Hi Georgia, and thank you for your EIB application!

    CRL and EIB Application Requirements:

All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry.  Congratulations!  :salute:

    Other-Armor Fit/Assembly;

In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions.

First of all Georgia, let me tell you that your armor looks great. Congratulations!!!:th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

-Starting from the top, ideally , the ear screws should go aligned with the rear edge of the Traps. It is mentioned just for your consideration as it is a more elaborate setting.

                                                                                                                                                                                  Reference images

    9MSmuxh.jpg   tc596o0.jpg                                    qdZeHpP.jpg   8xlWFlJ.jpg

    - The brow trim, should be a bit shorter. It's very, very, very little, but this way, maybe you won't see those "ridges" from behind the helmet (do it little by little so as not to cut too much).

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Reference images

-For Basic level  Mesh may be used behind the frown to obscure the face of the wearer.

Something that characterizes us(Stormtroopers) is that we are anonymous.  Children(and "not-so-children" :laugh1:) in Trooping see their characters with emotion and do not imagine that within that armor there is a fanatic like them. For this reason, we try, by adding a mesh behind the "teeth" of the helmet, to prevent our face from being seen through the holes in them. We are suggesting to add the mesh to your helmet.;)

                                                                                                                                                                                           Reference image

    FQV3hsT.jpg                       28gJUIZ.png

-Just a simple strapping issue here. It looks like your left bicep is riding a bit higher than the right one.  Raising(the right) a bit, would make a big difference in the overall look.

                                                                                                                                                                        Reference image

    O5iOLMa.jpg            8FTYABn.jpg

    - Ideally the ab and kidney should sit flush with no gap, but also no overlap. It looks like a simple dressing issue too. Maybe the belt is too tight. Put everything in its correct position first, and then tighten the belt...I'm sure it will hold everything in its correct position.:jc_doublethumbup:

                                                                                                                                                                                                 Reference images

-Your thighs seem to overlap a bit(cod). To avoid this, and also avoid some armor "bites", you can trim the top a bit, or perhaps lower them.  This would also help keep your sniper knee plate (below) from riding underneath.

                                                                                                                                             Reference images

    NO6ZC7v.jpg                                      UQbghNn.jpg    UDSyiIo.jpg

-Your Sniper plate is sitting a bit under the thigh, maybe you could place  some foam to push it forward (maybe, after lowering the thighs (previous point), it is not necessary).;)

                                                                                                                                                      Reference images

-The angle on the top of the sniper knee plate.  It's close, but for a better look we are recommending that you trim it down (to closer match the reference images).

                                                                                                                                                                                         Reference images

                                                                                            ***************************************************

    Centurion Requirements;

In this section we prepare you for Centurion.  Because Centurion photos show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper.

L-3: Back plate shall have no, or minimal overlap of the kidney plate.  We have a challenging issue here but we have confidence that you can do it Georgia:jc_doublethumbup:!!!.

We know that you are only 5 feet 3 inches tall, but your back plate is riding too far over the kidney plate. In this case, some adjustments have to be made, including trimming the lower part of the back plate (here, at FISD, you can find all the help you need).

As seen in the reference images, Luke's back plate had to be trimmed because as we all know he was "A little short for a Stormtrooper" and had no return edge in the back (or on the front of the chest) so it could be trimmed and still reach L3.  (Note that there were no screws on the bottom of his back plate).

-Your Han snap is positioned farther away from the corner than the reference images.  You will need to drill out the snap, reposition it, and fill the old hole.

                                                                                                                                                      Reference images

-Kidney rivets are too far from the edge and will have to be moved closer to the return edge, as seen in the reference image. After moving them, you can fill the holes with ABS paste and then sand/polish them.  Believe me, seems more difficult than it really is...;)

                                                                                                    Reference image

    cXlOZGr.jpg                                              d4D10Ww.jpg

L3- Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box.

The outside front edge of the drop box should line up with the end of the ABS belt. Moving them outward and applying a little E-6000 (or similar) to the back of the strap can prevent them from moving.

L3- The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that meets the outer edge of the cloth beltThe left side seems to need just a little trimming to be ok...The right side is perfect!!!:duim:

                                                                                                                                                                                                         Reference images

    zrIKkc8.jpg   GxmQgmx.jpg                     MS8w2fB.png   BywjlxQ.png

L3- The top of the ABS ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panelsIt would be necessary to raise your AB belt a bit. One popular fix to this is to add a piece of Velcro to the belt and AB plate to keep it in place.(Very easy fix, Georgia ;))

                                                                                                                                                                                                     Reference images

And that's all Georgia. You have a great armor, and we have complete faith that you can address all the issues. I look forward to seeing your submission for Centurion!!!  :th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

Tim, You have an excellent armor, and keep in mind that most things are just dressing issues. :jc_doublethumbup:

-We think that the brow trim of your helmet (as you can see in the photos below), should be a little shorter, this is a quick fix, just be careful to do it little by little so as not to cut too much.

                                                                                                                               Reference Images

    ps0FjHB.jpg                            Y35DVXP.png    P3XfbwR.png

-Vocoder should ideally be painted black using a gloss or satin finish. The paint on yours looks a little matte.

                                                                                                                                                                     Reference Images

    6ANGROo.jpg                             9ZBQOLM.jpg?3   KKZqeB8.jpg?2   mdbUcOv.jpg?1

-It looks like you may have too much padding in the top of the helmet.  It is quite high and for a better overall look should sit a lot lower. In addition, it will surely improve your field of vision as well.;)

                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Reference Images

    of9Qno0.jpg    7me2qNs.jpg      ukjmkYE.jpg?1    gsajeyu.jpg    6j0xHFI.jpg?1

    - Just a dressing issue here. On the right side, your forearm is a little high (the left one is perfect:duim:). Probably because your glove is wrinkled... Surely, placing the glove properly would decrease the space between the wrist opening and the hand guard.

                                                                                                                                                            Reference Images

    UmU2Z45.jpg    arX0fL3.jpg                             SLDVQr5.png   qGFMLAf.png

    - Although not specifically listed in the CRLAB button plates should ideally be squared at the corners and be trimmed to where the actual plate is inside the ridge area it is mounted to as seen below.

                                                                                                                                                                              Reference Images

    skKi9wl.jpg                    LSuei4K.jpg?1   JViLwBX.jpg?1

    - Another dressing issue (we don't want to see Vader get angry :laugh1:). Your TD should be more "horizontal". Pushing it down  (until the clips meet the belt) will solve the problem.

                                                                                                                                                                                              Reference Images

    0nx5u5p.jpg    DGgfWB3.jpg                 dEAMXJS.png    HFL1FPa.jpg

    - The angle on the top of the sniper knee plate.  It's close, but for a better look we are recommending that you trim it down (to closer match the reference images).

                                                                                                                                                                                                  Reference Images

    - This is a dressing issue that you may want to take care every time you put on your armor. It is a noticeable misalignment in the top section of the ridges of your calves closure.;)

                                                                                                                                                                                           Reference Images

    - The screw of this ear is located too low. It will be necessary to raise it a little. You may have to cover the old hole with some ABS and make a new one.

                                                                                                                                                     Reference Images

L3-Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Abdominal and Kidney Plate align horizontally at top. A small adjustment in the straps(or tighten the belt a little more),  will close that gap.

                                                                                                                                                                                  Reference Images

-We have a challenging issue here, but we have confidence that you can do it.  Unfortunately, the kidney rivets are too far from the edge (and misaligned) and will need to be moved closer to the edge, as seen below.  The ones on the ab plate appear to be better positioned. After moving them, you can fill the holes with ABS paste and then sand/polish them.  A bit of a task, I know, but it seems more difficult than it is in reality...

                                                                                                                                                                       Reference Images

    - The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that meets the outer edge of the cloth belt. The right side seems to need just a little trimming to be ok (the edge of the belt is covered by one of the drop boxes) . However, on the left side it is necessary to raise the ABS belt a little and trim it a little as well. It will also be necessary to move the square button.

L3-Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box.

Yours are very close to their perfect position. You only need to lower them a little and move them closer to the edge of the ammo belt (very little). Applying a little E-6000 (or similar) to the back of the strap can prevent them from moving.

                                                                                                                                                                       Reference Images

-The Belt is too dirty in some areas. Remember that Centurion is more "attention to detail". ;)

                                                                                                                                         Reference Images

-The gap in the bottom rear ridge needs to either be filled or have a white ABS shim behind it.

                                                                                                                                                                         Reference Images

And that's all Tim. I know all these pictures can be scary, but most of the fixes, have quick and easy solutions. You have a great armor, and we have complete faith that you can address all the issues. After that, I look forward to seeing your submission for Centurion!!!  :th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:
