The difficulty of measuring while wearing and likely trickiness of making these fit might be part of my lack of motivation since my return from vacation.  Jetlag is almost gone and rain keeping me inside.

With this part I used some help from my wife, It's too difficult to adjust it by one self.

Keep on doing a great work. almst there trooper!!!  :peace:

Is the gap between the thighs and cod too much? I feel like it looks okay but I'm not sure. I have big thighs from playing hockey, so if they do have to be brought up, I will need to remove more return edge from the tops of the thighs.

Hi Jayke, yes, the gap between the thighs and cod looks a bit much, minimal gap is the ideal . now you can trim the return edge to have more room and bring them up.

For the chest and back are the return edges removed? It looks like they are in most of the photos I have looked at but can't really find any ware that says yes. Also is there a rule of thumb on the distance between the chest and back on the shoulders? mine are almost touching and I think I may need to trim some off.

Hi, Keith,  What I would suggest is "Fit first, Cut Later" once you test your armor with your inner black clothes.  What I did  is let a little return edge and cut as needed .

And for the distance betwen chest and back there's not a rule but certainly they  don't touch each other.

    Hope this can help.

    Thanks Mario.

I'm searching for that darn post where I SWEAR I read the person was told to paint the tips black. LOL

I actually prefer the black look, and from what I can tell, Han's helmet has the Hovi's painted black.

I know we have to go by a generic "basic" reference to keep uniformity, but I wish something like this could be an either / or situation in the CRL, considering I am building a Hero armor.

I would suggest , try to find it and wait for the D.O. to review your application so you can explain with a solid basis.

    Good luck trooper!!  :salute:

Are the Hovi tips to have a white stripe and interior as per the CRL?

Hi, I think Yes, I think the D.O.  will check your application as per the CRL states:

    • Correct 'Hovi mic' aerator tips are present. Screens used shall be of a wide type mesh, with the rim of the mic and the inside white or painted white.

    Cheers  :salute:
