I know it's been a while since my last post on this thread but here I am again and ready to pull the trigger on Centurion! I was so excited to be part of the EIB 1000, so I had to throw my hat in the ring for Centurion. I just received the last piece of the puzzle for my Centurion build. The hand guards. I'm currently printing out the requirements check list for Centurion and the checklist for the photos I'll need to take. I'm so excited and maybe I'll be approved for the 500!!! Here we go kids!!!!

Welcome! You’re in the right place! Check out my build thread. I had absolutely no build experience before doing my ANH Stunt. If you have any questions please let me know. There are a whole lot of other threads that can help you too. Take the time to sift through and find what works for you. Good luck!

Well, it finally happened! I got a break in the side of the chest piece. I think it's because I've been reaching into the side of the chest piece to adjust the volume of the amp I have mounted behind the chest. I'm using a leftover piece of plastic from the build to reinforce the side. This is why you keep the spoils. BTW, I made EIB!!! Keep trooping troopers!

Thank you so much!! I'm so proud of the work I have done and proud to be part of this amazing group!! I just saw this post and that's why it took me so long to respond. This just rounds out my amazing day. It started with finding I have been chosen for a very awesome LFL event and now I'm officially EIB!! Thank you all for your time and encouragement! See you at Centurion next!!!

Rubber or rubber-like chemical gloves in black. Check!

I honestly thought that the rubber gloves were not part of the EIB. Not a problem. Do you need pictures of these in full uniform or can I just take pictures of the gloves and send to you?

Coming up!Hi Erick, as per the CRL states about the shoulder bridge connection:
Chest and back shall be connected with a white fabric or preferably elastic strap at the shoulders.
You may want to add a photo showing the white fabric or elastic.
cheers.

Here are some fixes I've done for EIB status. Fixed the rivet on the cod. Fixed the paint on the frown. Here's to hoping!!!!

Here's a before and after of my bucket frown update. I had to put them side by side to really see the difference.

Here is the updated frown. I took off what I think is enough. With that, I think I fixed everything you needed. Let me know!!!

Hi Erick!
Thanks so much for your submission! I'll be doing your review.
Like @gmrhodes13 pointed out, there's a couple fixes that will need to be made in order to proceed.
First, it looks like some of your frown paint will need to be cleaned up. I zoomed in to mark out an area so that it's a bit clearer what we're after, but take a look at both the upper and lower edges of the teeth to ensure there's no gray paint on the 'gums'. If you look at the reference photos, you'll see that you can even err on the side of underpainting. It should be just a bit of time with some mineral spirits or paint thinner and a q-tip or toothpick to clean up the paint. (Apologies for the sub-par photo; I'm on my phone.)

Next, your cod rivet does look quite large. What hardware did you use for it? Generally we try to shy away from exact measurements, but proportionally, yours looks too large. Our available reference photos of that area aren't great, but you can see the rivet is noticeably smaller than the snaps, while on your kit they look the same size. On my own kit I used the same split rivets I used for the left side ab/kidney connection.

Finally, you're missing a few required photos:
- Sniper knee left/right/front
- Shoulder strap connection
- Interior strapping
You can also reference the attached checklist.
Please reach out to me or any other DO if you have any additional questions. You're almost there!

I'll be posting the rest of the missing pictures tonight. As far as the cod rivet, I just used a female snap. To be honest, I never even thought that would be wrong. But, now really looking at the reference photos, it's obvious. I'll be fixing this tonight as well. Now the bucket fix will take me a little time. I have a troop coming up tomorrow night and I don't want to mess with it until after that. I hope to have all additional things you need to you before Thanksgiving. Should I just add to this post or gather everything and resubmit? Thanks for your help!

Here's the interior strapping. Not sure how I missed this one. More to come.

Welcome!!!! I'm a newly approved member of the 501st as of September. This past summer I built my first set of armor with the help of all these awesome people her on the FISD! Listen to the advice and always ask questions if you're not sure about something. No question is stupid or unimportant. Chances are someone has dealt with whatever problem you're having. Also, be open to changing your feelings about things. I found myself so sure of something then to be shown that I was wrong or misinformed. Trust the process and your fellow crazies. We are here to help. Check out my build thread and good luck on your journey!

After cutting off the return edges, I still needed a little more room. I decided to take off another 1/2" of material and now I can actually walk up stairs the way a human should!!
