  1. Ah thanks - makes sense and the additional plastic on top would reduce the failure points. And yes, I have used a soldering iron in the past to burn holes as well. I appreciate the info, very valuable.
  2. Thanks, is the washer just a standard washer with the pressure from the split pin holding it and the elastic strapping together?
  3. I am redoing some of my original strapping. What are these rivets/connectors called?
  4. Thanks, have submitted FISD access per 501 link. Have a fellow garrison member who can give me some spare lens so all good on that front.
  5. Please add me for 501 access - thanks. https://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=29623&costumeID=124
  6. Thanks, where did you buy your green safety lens from? This and the helmet padding are the next 2 items on my agenda prior to fitting out electronics. NB: I am now officially TK-10346 - approval just came thru this morning
  7. Thanks for the info. Are you using the original green film or something else? I'm looking at all options for the lens. Almost finished lining my bucket with velcro which will provide multiple cable options.
  8. I want to change out the original thin green film used for the eyes in my bucket. What would be a suitable replacement and best fixing method?
  9. Thanks for the info - I have twisted the thighs inwards as recommended - the ammo belt no longer rubs - when I bend my knee it gets to about 70-80 degrees tilt before the armour strikes the back of my leg, so assume that will be ok. Made changes to the thigh strapping system today and will be doing a full test fit this coming week.
  10. Yes good idea-am going to concentrate on getting the thigh strapping fixed, then work on bicep mod.
  11. Human calf - bend my knee about 30 degrees or so, the bottom of the ammo belt rubs my calf muscle.
  12. Also looking at replacing the original RS thin green film for the eyes with something more substantial. Love to here what has been used by other troopers
  13. Not much to play with, made sure the ammo belt is pushed up as far as it can go. I need to shorten the thigh straps first, then re-test. Another question of many - looking at helmet padding systems that ppl have used - need to work that out before I drop the electronics in.
  14. Quick test fit today, overall the armour fits really nicely - very snug, can't bend down, etc. Kinda forgot how restrictive wearing armour is. I will need to make some strapping adjustment and am very happy with how it all does sit. Re the photos below, I need to lift the thighs, with that done I am still getting some rubbing as re photo 2. The knee ammo belt rubs against the top of my calf muscle when walking. Not too sure what to do about it.
  15. Sensory overload - RSProps delivery arrived today - haven't unpacked it all but OMFG
  16. Hope this is the right place to post this - I logged into my original account earlier today with no issues. Went to login again and instead of using my sites username I was prompted for my email address. Wasn't sure which I I had used for my account so popped both in to request a password reset - nada - no email ion my inbox. I can still see my original username thread posts, so created this new profile in the hope a site admin can liaise with me as to what could have potentially happened.
  17. RSProps have completed my build and will be shipping shortly.. :) Super excited
  18. While I'm waiting for my kit to arrive I bought a DeWalt 240 Litre carry case. Jumped into Photopea to knock up a design which I like. Lots of masking to be done, and need to find an online printer who can make the graphics out of sticky back UV resistant vinyl. um yes-am having problems copying google drive links in. will add photos when i figure it out..
  19. After reading 501st reviews on balaclavas when trooping in hotter conditions, I purchased the "Under Armor UA HeatGear Tactical Balaclava Facemask (Black)".
  20. While I am waiting for my RS kit to arrive sometime in July, I am ordering the below listed additional equipment: 1. BlastFX - will go into a 2nd E11 I will put together - I can then alternate between that and the RSProp E11 depending on the troop requirement. 2. UKSwrath - Stormtrooper Audio System w/Voice Modulation. 3. UKSwrath - Stormtrooper Hearing assist Kit. Bought this the same time I bought the Deathtrooper Audio Assist kit a couple of years back, never installed it and will use in my TK bucket. 4. Nomex Flight Flyers Gloves [Black] - Will alternate between these and the RS gloves depending on the troop requirement.
  21. Thanks Phil, Just sent off my measurements [double and triple checked] today. Wait time is 12 weeks, I read earlier this week that they had a fire in Feb [I think] at their factory so that would account for the longer wait time from what I was quoted in Jan this year. Looking forward to getting the kit and becoming an active member of my garrison once more. I watched a YouTube video which showed how to improve on the calf clips that secure at the rear - I'm sure I will need to tweak the strapping as well to provide best fit.
  22. I am just about to place an order from RSPropMasters for a fully commissioned ANH Stunt TK kit in ABS. I am interested to hear from other troopers who have purchased the same kit from RS, what your impressions were of the build quality, durability, etc. Did you have to make any modifications at all? Can you sit in the kit? If not would some fibreglassing of the butt plate help. I'm especially interested in how well the provided strapping system works, when I built my ArmouryShop TX I stripped out the provided strapping system and redid it myself. Thanks.
  23. Awesome, thanks for the advice. I was also told the same within the garrison so will be looking to grab some of these as well.
  24. Thanks Rudi, and yes Brent has also put me onto the same gloves which are available from Bunnings. :)
