  1. So I found a pair of pretty cheap Chelsea boots. I was just going to dye them white like originally done. The only thing I wanted to check was that the seam on the side wouldn’t be a problem for EIB or Centurion? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Tried on the entire suit today to get a idea for the fit. I’m feeling the need to reshape the abdomen, kidney, butt, and chest, to fit tighter since they are a bit wide currently. And I did notice my shoulders are on the wrong way, my wife put them on and I didn’t notice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. My only reason for using tapatalk was to post pictures of my build, because it made it much easier.
  4. I am having issues using tapatalk and wondering if it is just me, or if their system is having issues? I try to log in and it tells me my information is incorrect. It’s not, I use the same password and username/email to log in via the website and it works no problem. I have reset my password twice and even tried re-registering and it said I already have an account. The only reason I don’t think it’s an issue with tapatalk is because I also have the Bounty Hunter Guild on there and it’s working just fine.
  5. So my ab to kidney doesn’t match up on both sides the same. My right side is almost flush with each other. Where as on my left side, the kidney is longer by a decent amount. I know this will be covered mostly by the belt. But it still bothers me. Just looking for advice as to what may help this to look the best? So far my only idea is to cut the kidney notch and hope that makes it less noticeable Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I am needing to trim down the ab and kidney to get a better fit as I am a skinny trooper. I plan to put the seem where the green line is and add the 22mm notch at the bottom so I can trim down the butt plate more. I drew on where I think I should be trimming. Let me know if this looks wrong for any reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I am wondering if I should remove all of this material from the top and bottom of the kidney plate, besides a small return edge. Also is there a top or bottom to the kidney plate? I assume not but I would rather be safe then sorry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I have begun work on the sniper knee. I’m about finished with it. I don’t see any issues with this part. Im just going to do some more sizing before I glue it in place. The only part I’m still not 100% sure is if I should trim much more off this side of the sniper knee? This side has much more material so I will just trim it down to match the other side. 9. I’m just wondering if the size of the rivet for the ammo pack on the thigh matters? It seems to me that the ones I’m going to use for the rest of the suit seem a little large. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Question on this edge for the body. Back and butt in picture. Just wondering if I should remove the material until it is smooth or leave the very edge so it rounds off? Another thing. So these are the backs of my legs. Just wondering if I will need to heat form them to get them more closed, or will the Velcro be good enough to hold them together? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So I am working on my left thigh and this is the back. I’m just wondering if I should cut at a slight angle or go straight across? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. So I am getting into the thighs now and I'm not happy with this mismatch on the bottom of the right thigh. So I am going to give the hot water bath a try. In the end I do think I will have to put a piece of ABS on the inside to help hold them level. I haven't tried the hot water bath on anything yet. So any advice as how hot it should be, like boiling or just hot from a faucet?
  13. Thanks for the advice Joseph, I will definitely go that route then. Makes all this much easier.
  14. Thanks for the information! Here are a few examples of the parts I want to reshape. This is the top of the thigh. Here are the biceps, This will be covered by the shoulders but I still would like to shape it to match better. Here is the back of the thigh. I do not like how it currently doesn't match at all and the cover strip will only enhance the mismatched sides.
  15. So I’m at the point I want a heat gun to form some pieces on my ABS kit. Just wondering if anyone has any advice for what kind of heat gun to go for, or if anyone will work? I do know the temperature for heat guns ranges a lot. So mostly just wondering if I should get one that stays a little cooler around 100•c to keep from biting the ABS or something hotter up to like 550•c?
  16. Awesome! I was starting to get worried that my kit was mismatched or something.
  17. So I have a question on the back of the thigh for my build. On the bottom the inside half does not bump out to match the outside. is this a problem at all? On the front it isn't level at all. Lucky this is the right leg and will have the ammo cover over it so it wont be an issue when finished I believe.
  18. Thanks I wasn’t sure if taking it apart to maybe get it a little closer was worth it.
  19. So this bicep is already glued together on the inside and the top overlapping piece isn’t glue down just held for reference. Is this a problem with the gap or if this needs to be redone? Now the other bicep isn’t glued on this side, The bottom is flush but the top doesn’t line up, I realize this will be more or less covered by the shoulder. Should I trim this down or just leave it as is?
  20. So I’m finally back at it after a few months off. Finishing up the forearms and getting the biceps wrapped up. I did my best to build the forearms to the centurion level.
  21. So I have lost my patience with the 24 hour dry time of E6000. I am looking for advice as to what is the "easiest" quick dry for ABS. I've seen a couple videos where stuff drys in 15 seconds so that's what I was thinking of getting. So I'm just wondering what people have used that user friendly, and if there is one that can still be removed after application, that's always a plus. Thanks
