  1. I actually just came upstairs from clamping on the internal strip for that trouble bicep. The re-glue job seemed to hold better and the internal strip should make it even better. Internal strips FTW!
  2. Thanks guys! I re glued my bicep today. I think I will go with adding an internal cover strip for the extra support.
  3. I'm going to fix up that bicep tomorrow. Today I filed my teeth and took a rough look at how my helmet would come together. I'm not sure how well the sides look together.
  4. I got the E6000 from a local hobby shop to be sure it wouldn't be fake kind. Thanks for suggestions
  5. That was the only side that required some tension. The rest all went perfectly. I'll see if a re-do helps. Should I try a stronger adhesive?
  6. today this is happening on one side of one bicep. I used plenty of e6000 but it's pulling apart.
  7. I left the biceps clamped for a couple days. I think they look okay.
  8. Oh wow!! You can't even tell!! I feel wayyyy better about it now. There is hope!
  9. That makes me feel a lot better about it. Once I finish cleaning up my helmet that's what I'll do.
  10. When I did it, I put the dremel away. It's not noticeable unless you get really close up (like the pic) but yea I was pretty bummed I did it. I hope I can fix it and not make it worse.
  11. Dremel slipped. I'm new to using one and it got away from me. Any hope in covering this up?
  12. While I wait for the glue on my biceps to dry I took a stab at some of my helmet
  13. Ok cool. For some reason I felt like they had to be perfect. Could just be me lol
  14. I feel like I can never get the edges of my pieces straight enough to meet. Is there a secret to this? I'm so paranoid that when I start to put them together it will come out crappy.
  15. I just wanted to say thanks krazytrooper. I'd been looking everywhere for a good set of magnets that wouldn't take forever to get here. Ordered last night
  16. Duly noted Thank you!!
  17. I looked at my tube of E6000 today and said "mhhhhhh maybe next weekend" lol. I'll give the biceps a go. Thank you for the vote of confidence
  18. I trimmed by biceps and shoulders today. I'm not confident enough to tackle anything glue related yet but I am getting used to trimming.
  19. Made sure to get proper BandAids
  20. I dug in on the forearms today. I was pretty nervous while cutting and my end up trimming more because they are still pretty big for me. But I didn't want to over do it. So I'd rather have to trim again then cut too much. The trooperbay videos make it look way easier than the way it went for me lol I need some advice on cover strips. Probably a dumb question but how do I gauge how wide my cover strips should be? I have pretty small forearms because female. I'll be more concerned later with my thighs.
  21. Ooooo good to know. Thanks
  22. Yea I'm going to end up going with the rubber ones. I have a few things I want to pick up on Trooperbay but he's closed till August 1st recovering from surgery.
  23. They aren't the prettiest hand guards but I did get a feel for the material and how to go about my trimming.
  24. You bet I will! Thanks!
  25. I can't wait to do my helmet! But I know I need to start small lol Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll work on the hand guards this weekend and go from there
