KaiserW AM 2.0 build (ANH Stunt)
KaiserW replied to KaiserW's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Back part of the helmet is a bit skewed, gonna try a hot water bath and even it out so it sit's better against the face plate. Cut my four 15mm cover strips and glued up the left forearm. Gonna try and get a piece done and glued each night, here's hoping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Trimmed up the helmet top a bit for a better fit and E6000'd it to the back (the glue got tacky fast??? Humidity?) Cut the teeth on the frown and placed the hovi tip holes. Left forearm trimmed to size, ready to make cover strips and glue up. Hopefully get that done after I get the kids to bed -

Put the helmet together with magnets to see how it fit: Not a lot of room for padding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Inkedfritos686 ANH AM 2.0 build and journey
KaiserW replied to Inkedfritos686's topic in ANH Build Threads
Just out of curiosity, why no heat gun? Is it just that they get too hot? My AM 2.0 armor will be here in about a week. I have one of those variable selection ones that can get pretty low. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
If I can't get this to work, I was gonna pick one of those up. The reviews just put me off a bit, but yeah, I'm sure I can modify the Rubies helmet to be better/more durable. Still going to try coring out some of the inside on the bank mod, maybe even shove a deflated mini basketball in there and heat up the whole helmet on a hot day in the car, and pump up the basketball slowly to try to expand it too. Sadly, the bank helmet mod is looking to be a bit cumbersome, my kids unfortunately inherited my huge cranium I need to trim out whatever I can around the eyes/lens and any high spots inside. I'll work on more this weekend. It's nice practice for when my armor arrives though. Also hoping to piece together a lens kit from scrap on my armor kits I have coming in. Thanks for the info here guys, my son is stoked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey, can message a mod over on JRS for me? I signed up last week but my account is still not active. Username: KaiserW Email: [email protected] Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Are using the mobile website or taptalk app? Mobile is tough, and the taptalk app has it kind of hidden. You can use the IMG tag and insert them yourself: (IMG)URL(/IMG) Replace the ('s with ['s and the URL is the http address of your pic on the hosts site Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've seen builds where they mention using a regular clothes iron and wrap it in a piece of fine cotton (t-shirt) around the hot end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The WTF kids armor has been known to fit up to 5'5" Depending on your build/size of course, YMMV Welcome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok, it seems I may have ordered in haste While researching the build, I found a few users who were of similar build to me (6'4" @250lbs) and all legs, the standard shins, thighs will leave a large gap at the knee. Walter worked with me, I picked up a kids Shadow Scout for my middle son and an Adult Tie kit. So off to the Jolly Rogers I go I have contacted Troopergear via email for a quote on the AM2.0 armor which I know will fit. So I may be starting my 501st career as a Tie Pilot, but I will make it back here once I figure out getting the AM kit. See you all soon. -

Tkboots.com Run very narrow. I have a skinny foot and got my real size, and they fit well. I like the fit around my mid foot, little loose in the heal, overall very satisfied with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
