2. I am very supprised at the response of the community to this. The generous gift of time that I wanted from impartial, experienced armour builders is to be cherished and respected. I offered 5 armour kits to be evaluated and feedback returned to me and the community. Lets just say more than 5 people contacted me and were happy to recieve what they thought were free armour kits. I asked for guidance on whom I should send these kits to and was guided. These armour kits are not free. The reciever has been instructed to give it to a person that is "Most derseving" of a kit. That means I want the kits given to a person that does the most charity work for example. If there is not such a person then it is to be sold on eBay and the funds donated to a 501st charity. For those who I have sent armour kits to are of my choosing. I am Irish and I would love to send to the CO of the Irish or UK garrison but I was affraid they would be accused of biased as geographically we have things in common. So I tried to choose people that would truely be impartial but have extensive knowledge of armour building. I choose who I send the kits to and many people who I have asked have politely declined as they dont want the abuse that is being thrown around, which is a big shame as there are lots of good opinions we all needed. For the people I chose they will have a box delivered that they might not be expecting. That is why some are in the dark as to who the kits are going to. Please be patient and respectfull to those that are carrying out analysis. All will be revealed in time.
3. The parts were designed to fit the "Most generously proportioned" of us. It will be a serious challenge to get it to fit a smaller framed person but I am sure you are very capable I will not comment anymore on this thread as it is not my thread and not for me to influence in any way. If any person has a question about the build please address it to Evin directly. Any questions about the manufacture or creation of the parts please personal message me directly. This thread is for an impartial building and analysis for the community to see.
4. Please everyone check your spam folders as the emails are being sent. I have had a few people complain they have not arrived and I am not getting their emails either. Some have opened Paypal claims only to find 7 emails from me updating them in the spam folders. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDERS
5. fnarmour.com has lots of stock of gaskets if anyone needs one
6. I mean about not knowing a 100% what the others guys are doing means I am the owner of factories and I have a production manager that runs each factory. They in turn have many staff that work under them. As a team we engage teams of designers and mould makers. Each mould maker might have 10 staff. We use 3 different mould makers at the same time. I know that I had lunch last Tuesday but I can't tell you what I had. I also can't tell you if Trevor had a day off on Monday of last week as I don't get involved in every detail of everything.

I know my big customers and their main requirements. I am ultimately responsible for what happens for my business's and workers but I don't proclaim to know what they or how they are doing it to every detail.

But no we did not re cast another persons product. It is just as easy to start from the beginning. If you have the other persons product then it is easier to see how it goes together in a kit form but not to 3D model it. Scanning a part can be done but the parts are not that difficult and to scan a part then clean it up would take hours. Quicker to just do it yourself.

If I had another persons kit then I would have seen how it all goes together and then it would have saved us months of trail and error as we would see from the onset what works and what can be improved for production. We were not lucky to have a sample kit to study and then improve on. We had to go blindly forward and will be great full for feedback on improving it.
7. I will try to answer questions as well as I can. I am a vacuum former and work out the best way to form various parts to keep the production process as efficient as I can. I also have to "Appease" the stormtrooper experts that know how these things should look. I have no idea about these things, I also have to deal with designers that say "It needs to go like this" yet then "Modify" their thoughts and designs when it come to the trimming of these parts as the guys that trim and look into the assembly tell me that the designers of the moulds "Dont know what they are talking about". I know for a fact that the moulds for the rear cannister where done and redone many times. We had all sorts of trouble to get this so it was "User friendly". We then went to one of the other mould makers, we were using 3 different makers at the same time. We came up with the solution from one mould maker who carved it in wood first to show us how it works then make aluminium moulds from that. Some of the leg parts were 3D drawn and then cnc cut only to find out that they were not very "generious" on the sizes. Measure twice cut once! Due to the cost of the materials and the machine costs we could not "Just make a new one" so I was told they built onto the mould to increase the dimesions. I was not there when this was done I guess a skim of Araldite built up layer by layer. Not 100% sure myself. The moulds I normally deal with are a lot less complicated and much bigger than these and Araldite and epoxy filler is used in many of my moulds. I dont proclaim to be a mould maker or any expert in stormtroopers. I am always willing to learn and to take advice from others more experienced than me. This project was done by a team of people. Some Stormtrooper people from the 501st, some vacuum forming operators, a 3D design team 3 different mould making teams and myself. Much like a Ford car is designed and built then tested by many people. One man is just a part of the team and possibly is not 100% sure what the other guys are doing. I am begining to understand that stormtrooper armour makers are traditionally 1 person working on making the moulds then forming in thier shed or garage. We are many people working on many projects at the same time with a 1,000 different moulds for many different products. We range from the little plastic draw liners that you keep your fork and knives in, upto 6 feet wide ponds. We even manufacture for the "Big 4" Japanese car manufacturers in various ways. We have production in many different countries at the same time as we live in a globalised world. I hope I will not be to "Vague" in answering any questions as alot of the time I may not know the answer. I also have many customers and workers to deal with at the same time. Dont have time to sit here on the internet all day. If I did I think I would be looking at pictures of other things!
8. Thank you! It is nice to see a person that has one of my products in their hands give a truthfull account of what they have! Thanks Sam
9. I have stated my defence. My offer of 5 armour kits stands so others can speak the truth
10. That is a good question. If I were to copy another persons work then I guess I would follow their mistake? If they did not make a mistake and then I made a mould that had mistakes in then did I copy them? The chest armour has the 6 ovals that are all uneven. If it were to be re cast or copy from another part then wouldn't the 6 oval parts all be the same as the part they copied from? Or did we deliberately make them un even at the 3D drawing stage? After they have been manufactured, then cut out and assembled it would not be noticed? A copy or not a copy? And a copy that missed the dimples on each side of the nipples. We had to hand cut them after that. Not very good copiers are we! What kind of idiot cant even copy a simple chest part correctly?
11. There has been alot of "mud slinging". I would like to offer 5 free FN Armour kits delivered free of charge to 5 CO's of any worldwide 501st garrisons to have a good look at my armour kit and to tell the public in an honest way if my armour is a re cast from another person or if my armour kit is just an FN armour kit. If they have the opportunity to compare it to my closest competitor then that would be even better. I dont want any money for it and I trust you will give me an Honest opinion on my workmanship.
12. It is taken from my monitor showing the google earth view of the office. I just wanted everyone to look for themselves to make up their minds by themselves.

I wanted people to look at google earth street view and make their own minds if the building looks deserted/unoccupied like someone else says it is
