Here we are, getting there! I'm doing elastic last, as it's not taking to the current paint well (I'll do a layer of acrylic first)

Right, I see. Would nail varnish remover work? Not 100% required but most shoes have 'some sort' of coating, or finish. If this isn't removed - or at least roughed-up - then the white paint won't adhere very well and will flake easily. I know that's kinda screen accurate but - personally - I like nice white boots
-
Oh wow no? Is that required? (or more importantly, does it help?)Are you stripping the surface with steel wool and acetone?
-
I'm about to start the boot painting process:
I'm using Angelus leather dye, as suggested in other threads!

I'm considering doing like a YouTube series on the build? Like the process and whatnot. It wouldn't be a tutorial as such, rather a compilation of what it's like to build stormtrooper armor for the first time and whatnot.

These still require a bit of sanding:
*whirs Dremel* Let's do this

Not sure RWA Creations (on Facebook) aka Ross above does them. I've not seen any from him but doesn't mean he doesn't. And being the chap he is if he doesn't and is asked it won't be long until he does.
Just had a word, seems he does!

So, REALLY, I should be putting this on the Biker Scout forum, but figured since this is for my little brother and not myself, an account would be a waste of time. I found a helmet kit on Etsy for £89.00. The seller is Spanish and known as "Costumesck". First off, is this the cheapest price for a helmet? Secondly, is this safe? I've spoken to him and he claims its 501st level accurate?
Thanks guys

Might be in the wrong forum, but regardless;
My armor is nearly ready now and the final stages of accessory collecting are nearing! As I'm going for an ESB trooper, I need the ESB Handguards, the clamshells as they seem to be called. Does anyone know where I could get some on the cheap? A domestic (UK) seller is preferred, but I'm open to international! I'm even willing to trade my ANH guards for them if that's of interest to anyone?
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
So a few questions; first thing are Anovos like good enough for 501st? Specifically centurion level? Not only that, what does it mean with its batches?
Thanks!

Ok, here ya go, Omar... My painted boots nine months and a bunch of wearings later....

I haven't retouched them even once. The paint proved to be quite durable.
Wow, that's pretty tough stuff!

There ya go folks

Don't apologise!! I'm just an edgy ESB fan who wants to be awkward!Sorry , I always assume people are building ANH style blasters.

Spraying underway

How's this?

Not for this one! ESB blasters don't have them by the looks of thingsLooking good. Will you be adding the counter too? Good luck with the paint job. Check out the blaster reference guide in the weapons section under ANH blasters. Lots of useful info!

Overall a terrific build, and fantastic job on removing the Power cylinders!!
Ah brilliant to hear, had a long thought session as to where the scope rail should sit . Luckily it wasn't the reverse with the rail sitting too low, at least I can undo this! The charging handle will be added post painting in order to allow movement. Could you direct me to a correct D ring by any chance? Thanks!

I received my E11 kit back in February, so it's been quite a while in the making.
Could I get some feedback before I go and spray it? Thanks
